Hi, I've actually never played FLYFF before but I'm becoming quite tired of my current mmo. I've been playing ragnarok for almost 4 years now and I've finally decided to try something different. Anyways, the question I need answered is in regards to stat/skill builds. On iRO if you screwed up your stats/skills your character usually becomes garbage and it requires a character delete and a fresh start to fix. That game is VERY build reliant. So before I even installed FLYFF I decided to research it. I've read some of the guides and decided that a Blade would be a nice character to work towards. They seem semi self-reliant with fast attack speed and high flee, similar to the assassin class on RO.

My question is are there any stat/skill resets in this game? So if I manage to get to lvl 60, 70, or 80 and only then realize that I'd like to change my build would I have to delete and start over... or is there some sort of compensation. I noticed some people mention buying restats but if someone could give me a more in depth answer it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is only one stat reset, and that is at level 15, when you go from being a vagrant to the class of your choice. You do, however, receive a (nontradable) reskill scroll. The reskill scroll is essentially a skill reset item that allows you to reallocate skill points into new skills, and it's a one time use sort of thing.

Asside from that, if you decide that you don't like your build and that you're too far along that you can't be arsed to start over, you can always purchase reskill and restat scrolls from the game's cash shop. Restat scrolls work like the reskill scroll, except that your stat points return to base values, allowing you to redo your stats.

So hypothetically if I'm level 105 and I feel like changing from a STR build to a DEX build I can just purchase reskill/restat scrolls and it'll set my stats back to zero and undo all skill progressions? The only downside is that it would cost real life money? That doesn't sound too unreasonable really. Unless I am misunderstanding you.

Also thank you very much for the rapid response. It's nice to know that there is a helpful community around if ever assistance is needed.

You've hit the nail on the head (well, your stats would return to 15, since that's base in this game ). However, you don't necessarily have to spend your own real life money to obtain reskill/restat scrolls. You can always purchase them from other players, however they tend to be very expensive.

And you're welcome

Sorry for the bother, but the game has installed, patched and updated. Now it's asking which world I should join. I know PK servers are player kill and that's not what I'm interested in. Any suggestion on the world I should join? Or does it just not matter.

If you're loooking for a populated well rounded server, head to lawolf, or aibatt perhaps. Demian and Clockworks are newer servers, unique weapons and such are a little more expensive. Mia Mushpoie and Glaphan are more of the middle servers, with less players and decent economies. Kern can be counted in that category as well. the x-1 through x-4 represent the server number and channel number. 1-1 represents lawolf server channel one, 1-2 = channel 2, etc. Any character made in a server can switch between channels at any time. For example, if I made my character at 1-3 and there were too many people at the Aibatt spawn (level one mob) then I could switch to 1-4.

Aibatts prices are horrible

But yea, the channels can be swapped between, its the server thats character specific

You won't be able to log your character into mushpoie if you play lawolf for example, but you can choose between any of lawolfs 4 channels

My recommendation is mushpoie as i play there and will be happy to help
But the server isn't as highly populated at the moment

Pick whatever server you please, they all have ups and downs
