Drop/Kill Stealers

Dont you just hate it when you're AoE'ing a mob of monsters. And someone starts to attack monsters in your mob. Then has the nerve to walk up and collect the items dropped from you.

Another thing is when you're AoE'ing and you killed part of a mob the rest are alive. And you see a sunstone on the ground. A noob runs up takes all the items and penya and calls you a noob.

Whats the best way to get rid of Kill/Drop stealers other than moving yourself to another server etc?

Thats the reason they didn't increase the time

You can't really get rid of them, they'll always be around.

I understand that there are CS Pets. But who at level 36 as their main has enough money to buy one. And Im certainly not willing to spend my good money on a game.

When I see a noob thats getting ready to steal my drops I make sure theres a few Agro's in my mob and go near to where they spawn climb on my board and laugh as a small army of agro's attack the noobish looters. :>
Sure I lose a few drops but all I have to do it recollect the mobs with lower health left.

Eh. Thats all good and all. But its annoying when its a Magician or Acrobat kill stealing and then drop stealing after that. First they kill steal all the agros in my mob. Then they pick up all the items while im still AoE'ing

Tbh, If that is your first character, you shouldntve gone aoe.
Second of all, most aoer's should have a CS pet before they aoe, since of this problem ^_^

yea AoE probobly is not the best way to go for your 1st character,
maby a DEX/STR BP build, merc, or a mage.

I hear you on all fronts here, luckily I had a cs pet before I made my first real aoe character (My Ranger <3) and so haven't had problems with drops ever since. As far as drops go, you'll just have to abide by it until level 60+ when you can afford a cs pet and perhaps begin leveling with a trust worthy friend who plays the game also and have him/her pick up any rare drops for you while your finishing off the aoe.

With regards to kill stealing, it happens and when it does I've grown to get used to it. People are immature pre-70 and think that they own the rights to all of your mobs because you stole one of theirs. As soon as you hit the Sylica/Mong spawns, this becomes a little less of an issue and you'll be in heaven once you reach Azria due to the spawn sizes there. Sad fact of the matter is you've got to bite the bullet for the first few levels, if you get someone being an arrogant sod, then swap servers or wait until he leaves.

If you need some hope as to why continuing a leveling an aoe class with all these kill stealers, take salvation in this: I'm currently aoeing full spawns at mongs/carriers and have yet to come across someone so immature as to steal more than one of my mobs or someone stupid enough to try and steal my sunstones before my cobra zips in there

For now, just bear with it, your situation will improve after 70 for sure, especially considering that Clockworks isn't a packed server anyway.

Edit: No reason why you can't have an aoe class for your starting class, if you can handle it then praise be for you, it's a diverse way to level.

Blood is actually right, I've just started AoEing Sylica with my FS partner and we share the drops between us, so far nobodys stolen any of my drops from the Sylica. Also my AoE BP is actually my second char, my first was an FS with messed up stats

And you all probably know how hard it is to get somebody to agree to share their drops with you when you're an fs so I made no money from that, only started making penya on my AoE. x3

At least you don't play in demian. KSing 1 vs 1 mobs and people sneakering you after your giant is dead and taking your drops. Fun fun...

Why not AoE with your first char? It's actually cheap and you get some money.
I made my AoE Assist and all I had was a Lv24 Acro. Doesn't count.

Anyway, avoiding looters is simple, there really aren't many at those levels. @_@
It gets harder at Lv50-65. Those areas are full of people, so AoEing is a pain.

Just say screw it, switch servers, and get over it.
Oh, and remember to write down his name first, so you can camp him in arena. Who cares if he got a few penyas when he can't stand in arena?

Here on CW you, sadly, have to face looters from lvl 15 and all the way until you can go to azria. Loads of kids around (and even guilds...) that made looting a sport =\

My tip would be to enjoy the xp and lvl as hard as you can, once you can lvl in azria looting shouldn't be a problem anymore
