Hey,
I was wondering if anyone thought or felt the same way that, Flyff quest system is kind of a let down.
Personally, I found from experiance (wow) that quests that is story quests can be a way to help you level-up. As the Story of the quest provides as a distraction from your %age moving up slowly.
Flyff starts off nicely at the start, where they have the bang quests and the story quest (which is incomplete btw) then it just shuts off until you get to 60 then again until your 120 I assume with that hero quest. I don't count collecting the 10-15-20--50-55-60 odd quest items every level to be a quest. More like a fetch n carry thing.
I feel sure that flyff story writers or Flyff's community such as the creators of the pudding episodes could write up a couple of stories that the Developers could implement into the game.

It's sad, really. It's like the developers WANT everyone to focus on endless grinding.
My favorite one, I think is the one with the mia's as it had a good story to it but the end was bad and the expression of the mothers' greave and I quote "It's just as I feared my baby is lost, oh dear!" lol
but yeah your right there is hardly any quest system. Which is a shame

They need to do more quests that tell the story of Flyff.. like that one you get about the history and everything that just drops off... whats up with that?

I highly doubt that they would take anything we send them serioulsy. They probably dont care enough to go through the trouble of making new quests... but that would be cool if they did.
I wouldn't expect any quest changes to happen, the one time they actually did some changes with the quest system, they screwed it up even more than before >_>
I don't understand why they keep releasing new stuff for CS, why don't they have like two guys go back and make the story understandable. Maybe even more than that, enjoyable, would be nice. I have no idea what happened other than a big clock fought the world and left lots of monsters behind.
It's not a disappointment, it's a fucking disaster. There isn't a single line of dialogue that is worth reading. They even took out the descriptions of quest items on mouseover (eg: Aibatt used to have something describing what the Twinklestone was; now it is described as 'Quest item received from Aibatt' along with all others, since the developers couldn't be fucked to correct all of the typos/grammatical mistakes.)
If the developers were to put in quests which didn't involve an exp reward, but something original-only-got-from-that-quest (though the narrowness of the game may prevent anything happening there, sadly), stick in a boss monster which isn't a coloured in Trangfoma and actually required skill/tactics to kill, make a memorable and worth-reading storyline, and maybe they'll get somewhere.
Sadly, the nature of this game seems to make things like this impossible; the only recognition of achievement in the game is levels, and a small quest won't do anything for that. Ah well.

Gala-Net doesn't listen to the people unless it increases sales D:
Welcome to Flyff x.x;;
(and I don't mean it in a mean way towards you.. but, from what I know.. it's very rare to find a positive change to Flyff b/c of the people.. the only thing I can think of is the revamping of the PK system and the talk about modifying classes for v12, but I don't know if that's going to really happen.)

This game is a grind-fest and a half. They focus on CS items to make grinding easier, not quests. CS items are easier and quicker to develop, AND rake in the dough. Quests do not.

There are a bunch of players that enjoy doing quests, if it was known flyff had a good quest system then there would be I expect 100x more players and 5 more different servers which would generate more income from those players joining.- The gaming websites such as gamespot.com mmorpg.com would have to give flyff another review for such changes and that would give flyff more attention.

What you have to realize is any major game changing update we get comes from Korea first. Thats where the problem is, FlyFF is what we call a 'Korean grinder', meaning the whole purpose of the game is to grind to the max level.
Alot of people keep saying we wont get new quests because it wont make Gala money, which isnt exactly true they could always add "premium quests" in the CS. However this is one of the times Im gonna defend Gala. The reason Gala isnt adding new quests isnt because Gala doesnt want it, its because Aeonsoft doesnt want it. Gala-net has the rights to host the game and put their name on it, however I dont think they have the rights to make any game changing alterations. Any change to the game has to be pre-approved by Aeonsoft first.

So what your saying is even if the developers from gala talked to us it wouldn't matter unless they talked to the Aeonsoft developers?
but I don't understand how Gala or Aeonsoft, fail to see if they had a good quest system or repaired the one they have now they would improve their income. Also a good quest system helps the grinding go faster. That was a interesting idea/thing you said about premium quests they should explore that at least people couldn't trade that.

I agree. If it was all about the money, they could release quest-related CS items, like a scroll that resets quests that allows you to do them again, the aforementioned CS-only quests, and even scrolls that double quest-exclusive experience points.
But they don't care. Flyff is a grinding game, at least for now. cFlyff is entirely different, but that might be because China might not be that big on endless grinding just to reach the maxed level.
