Yes, it would be understandable. You have your computer off at night, unplugging it even. However, you can have your home at 60 degrees F. within 30 seconds of you turning your computer on, your computer will reach an AVERAGE of 100 degrees F. Or between 32-38 degrees Celcius.
That's my computer as it's idle, minimum load (maybe 10%). Not a very high end computer either. Higher ends will generate much more heat, bad cooling will fry them.
However, regardless of how long you keep your computer off for, it'll reach the average temp in about 30 seconds to one minute.
Once you turn on FlyFF or WoW, the computer will be using more power, have a higher load, and thus generate a lot more heat. If it is overheating, then you don't have good cooling in your tower.
On average, my computer will reach temperatures of about 55 degres celcius with a heavy load. I have it set to crash itself and restart if it hits 65 C, so you can tell it's pretty close there.
Bad coding can also cause a computer to overheat, every game will occasionally get a bad code. Be it corruption on your end or theirs.
If you don't have a fan, just put your tower up on your desk (if it isn't already), leave the side open and try playing. Maybe that'll help abit, just don't touch anything inside while it's on D= you may get shocked.
