YoyoJester Guide - All You Need To Know. Icers
07-24-2008
I guess it’s time to that an updated version of a Jester Guide should be made, seeing as SilentXHill has apparently quit and never updated his Power Jester –Built for Power guide in...
Two mistakes I found while casually looking at a few pages:
Quote:
...you are stuck in onestuck in one PVP perspective
"PVP Builds" page, second informational paragraph explaining the "Average Build".
Quote:
Yes, 15DEX/15DEX/15INT base build.
"Pure Strength [Grinding]" page.
About the guide itself: Looks very decent, this could turn into something proper by the time it's finished. Too bad I don't have any experience with Jesters at all, else I would try to give some valuable feedback content-wise. Keep working at it though, it's far more authentic than some of the other guides I've seen here.
Just rushing to write information since everyone was urging about more PVP stuff :x
And I need time to write, so yeah, I was aware people will spot some errors for me
Thanks for spotting the errors
And its still incomplete, and I'd say this guide is 40% complete... I've got alot of sections to do, on my head but i just have to write... and it takes alot of time and concerntration.
Well, after you calculate your block rate even to the 150%, your block rate will be subtraced by the mob's hit rate, and let's say it has 100% hit rate? So it'll be 150-100% to 50% block rate. That's just an example, and I've seen other people saying its % per 1 DEX, including several moderators in the offical forums D:
However, defence isn’t really an issue, since Jesters only focus on damage output over time in grinding, and skills ignore defence in PVP. Defence is useful for area of effect characters, and Jesters however, do not have one AOE skill.
Magic* skills.
An FP using skill's damage is still reduced by def. Asal and Hop are the only FP using skills which aren't affected by def. Try a simple burstcrack (or sneak/back stab on your YJ) on different players, you'll see a slight difference in damage.
Magic skills however aren't (relevantly) reduced, since magic defense in Flyff is so low (that's why Holyguard is considered useless) you won't notice anything different.
In the full STR section you talk about high +'d stam/DEX rings, but only one. Are you expected to always wear another Vigor, for PvP or grinding? Would you suffer with two STA rings for PvP? Or two DEX rings for grinding?
Can't wait to see this done.
What about PvP at low levels? I'm level 71 and I'm alright with backstab/Xline, but that's about it.
