Default Enough Sta for aoe rm? - 07-20-2008, 02:14 PM

I have 72 sta right now unbuffed on my rm, and If I were to add sta all the way til 105, that would give me 100 sta unbuffed. With rimyth +8 +28% def and two sta +9 rings, plugs +9 and gore +6, is that too little sta to tank with just a leech or a rm healing?

If you're gonna level in Azria, is more than you need.

And I'll still be able to tank the majority of mammoth spawn?

Yeah you definitely should be able to. I restatted to 80 STA rest INT from like lvl 114-116 just to try a high INT build, and I had absolutely no problem AoEing Cannibals - and you can't use elements on your suit against them. So, I think that if 80 STA works fine, I think 150 STA will you do great. =o

150 sta? as in base or buffed? With the stuff I listed above, 100 base sta + 20 from rings + 40 from heap is 160 buffed...

edit: okay, I stuck in my hypothetical equipment with 100 sta and rest int into Jon's Character Sim and this is what I got

Spoiler

I'm kinda worried about the 14k hp...most guide's i've seen say get at least 20k, but with 14k hp, that gives me 1.4k hp to trigger prevention, so can a mammoth crit over 1.4k at 105? I tried it with slotting in +16% hp instead of the +28% def and it turned out to be 16.3k hp but 1252 def

Outside and inside Azria as well as Volcane.

And it doesn't matter, if it's 150 STA buffed or unbuffed, I don't think. Either way it should be okay. 150 base is, of course, safer and gives you more time to recast Prevention.
