I don't understand piercing. Well, i guess i know the basics, you use a moonstone and a card and a Gpro, than depending ont eh card you can get +% yada yada. Well, i dont understand what the order of the cards means and why it matters or what the 1/1, 3/3, 2/3, stuff means.

Each suit can be pierced up to 4 times, when you pierce you go to the weapon NPC, introduce the suit, the moonstone and the gpro, if it suceeds it will get one pierce. If you have, let's say, 3 pierces in your suit, you can add to that suit up to 3 cards, these cards are any kind of card that has +% on it. Sucess rate is always 100% when adding a card to a suit. Now let's imagine you want to add attack to your suit, since it has 3 slots, it will be (0/3), now let's add a Thunder Card, it will now be (1/3) and will add +4% attack, now just repeat and so on.

Having a suit with (2/3) means the suit has 3 slots, 2 of which are filled and 1 slot is free to add whichever card you wish.

And as a quick side note, Piercings can fail on any number of them (including the first one), and if it fails, the item is destroyed. Use Scrolls of Gprotect on all piercings on useful items or valuable items

1) yes, You could have 2% MP 7% def 4% atk and 5% FP if you wanted
2)Nope, 0% chance to fail while putting the card in
3) Yeah, costs 1m and removes the last card put in, so put your lightnings in first before adding those thunders! =D

Also, I don't know if its true but, if you have cards in the slots already and try to pierce another slot, it will have a lower success rate to make it.

I would 0/3, or 0/4 it first, and then put all the cards in. And can someone comfirm on this please? D:

On one hand, people say it's a myth. On another hand, many people have mentioned experiencing lower success rates when they had a card in.

s: It may never be known. The way I see it, even if it's a "myth," it's a precaution I'm willing to take, so I personally wait until my suit is pierced 0/4 before going ahead and adding cards in.

If you're interested, more detailed guide with pictures can be found at Basics > Refining > Piercing, although Rhote's explanation was thorough enough :3

You would need around 2b depending on the server you play, to get 4 Lightning Cards.

You can find Thunder Cards for 500k-1m (Lawolf). Its a lot more expensive to get +28% attack than +16% attack, and imo, the damage increase isn't that high.

1/2,3/3,0/4
the first number shows the number of cards in the suit.
the second number shows the number of pierces in the suit.
meaning
0/4 has 4slots for cards
and 4/4 means it had 4 slots and all 4 hav been filled with cards

He might not have read the thread and posted, that's a crime now? He was simply answering.

And the fact cards are already slotted decreasing sucess rate is supersition, people also said they had better sucess rates with cheer which was bs.

Well, if your armor clean is cheaper than a GPro, then don't bother using a GPro on that first pierce for obvious reason.
