I believe your problem is not RAM or Video Card.
Its your processor.

I only have 1gig of RAM on a Vista computer.
And a ATI Radeon X1950 Pro card

But I have a Core 2 Duo 3.2Ghz
I share no problems with Flyff and runs beautiful with Flyff, AIM, MSN, iTunes and Firefox

I don't have problems with Vista on my Acer Aspire 5920 either, then again, it has like one of the best specs available for laptops. o_O; 2.5Ghz dual core processor, 4gb ram, 8600 nvidia graphics card. Only bugger I had was the cursor sync though.

The x1950 Pro is comparable to the nVidia 7900 GS/GT which were both relatively good graphics cards, not mindblowing, but certainly enough to get you through Flyff without missing a beat. Without system spec it's hard to say what the cause /is/, it could be any combination of CPU/GPU/RAM/config.

Nice proc though ^_^

alright then, so i'll have to ask him to try setting his screen to windows mode to see if it makes any changes for the better. he has around 190 gb in ram, still have around 150 free, which we know it shouldn't lag so badly. ragnarok online runs perfectly, trickster runs great, (with an addition of xfire, msn, and firefox running at the same time) surprisingly enough. so all thats left is for him to get it in window mode and we'll see how it goes. if all else fails, well, no flyff for him until he goes back home.

thanks a bunch, guys
