my friend is going to go mercenary and later blade
hes at lvl 13 and wants to know what to do
i cant help cuz my first and only charcter is an assist
So can i have any suggestions on builds, armor, and jewelry
i need anything you can contribute
like best build for going blade
also a general lvl by lvl guide would help

If you want to know how to become a blade, check out at least one of the following guides, Micheal's "Str and Dex Blade GUide"
"Blades 102" or just try to find a build that u like on the forums. Also, the skills u max need as a merc to be blade, are... Sword mastery, Blazingsword, Smiteaxe(i think...), axe mastery, some people have said u will need pan barrier as a blade and some haven't(ur choice), sneaker to 19 or maxed, basically all the self buff skills besides sneaker. The set u will need is panggril set at lvl 45 and for money after u get past ur 2nd job as a blade, kill giants like mushelizer (this is talking to both you and ur friend)

Personally i think that his build should be sta~30 dex~66 str~xxx. If he can afford it past lvl 60 always buy the green armours,but i wouldn't waste my money on the 15-45 green armours, and the green weps,once u get to lvl 75 for the historic sword/axe, i do not recomend useing the guardian sword i was use Dretras. As for jewelry i would use gore necklace and vigor rings with demol earings.

There is no such thing as "best" build. Keep that in mind.
Each build has its advantages and disadvantages.
Exaggeration Warning
As for me, my Blade is going Full INT at Lv105, since I won't need any other stat because 15k Crits in PvP being full INT is already good enough for me. I'll use INT for Magic Defense.

Meh, I'd say go for a simple 50 STA rest STR, but that's just me.

he's right. there's no best builld.

as for me, i'm going:

str 15
sta 60
dex xxx
int 15

i'll probably kill really slow in 1v1, but i'll get more crits and blocks.
and this build is really good for AoE, but you might want more sta.
it's also good for "Skilled Blade" and what i meant is a blade that always or loves using blade skills, since blade skills depend on DEX.
