Lawolf Price List and Buying Guide

Version History:
0.1 7/5/08 - Starting this guide

0.4 7/14/08 - Finished Adding Prices

Todo list:
add pictures and make the guide pretty

Hello and welcome to my guide . This is a price list of the most commonly sold items (up to lvl 60) in Lawolf based on the prices during the summer of 2008. It is primarily used to gauge the price of an item you are trying to sell or buy. Even if you don't have the exact same iteme as the ones listed, you can make an educated guess based on what is here.

How to use this guide:
  1. Check the appropriate section for your item. If it is not there, NPC it. Otherwise, you have just found the base price for your item.
  2. If your item has been awakened, check the following guide to determine if it is a good awakening (Making penya. Easier). If your awakened item has average stats, the item price will increase by 500k-1m. If your awakened item has good stats, the item price will increase by at least 2m. And of course with bad stats, your item will devalue by several million penya and you should NPC it unless it's worth more than 5m.

Any suggestions or constructive criticism are appreciated. But PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ITEMS FOR APPRAISAL.

Disclaimer: This is not only my first guide in this forum, it's also my first post. hahahahaha
The cherry on top would've been a "heuheu".
I'm not implying you were flame-worthy, but that sort of guide introduction usually begs those not paying too much attention to flame without bothering to finish reading the guide.

The job-specific equip section is roughly 23% complete, and the rest, around 50%. I, for one, am fond complete guides. Usually, incomplete ones don't help one carry their business according to the guide completely and just breaks off routine in the middle or something.

Also, a guide is a how-to tool, a step-by-step description of how to get an issue solved. This is, so far, just a price list of items based on the economy of one out of many server clusters. I don't think it counts as a guide, it doesn't tell readers how to do anything, it's just a database of prices, imo; it would probably be better off in the Marketplace forum, updated weekly/monthly.

PS: Lightning/Volcano/Ocean cards have a 7% bonus, not 6%.

Yeah, this is a work in progress. I started yesterday, so I'm not done yet. Based on what I've seen on the forums, this is the section where incomplete guides go. Once they're 80% done or so, I can ask the mod to move them into the main section. I am adding sections later that are more guide-like and less tables of numbers. Still, this is meant to be instructive and informative, so I think it still qualifies as a guide (can you imagine fitting all this in one page?).

The intent is to capture the state of the Lawolf economy at one point in time. I know prices fluctuate weekly/monthly/yearly. But at least you can use this as a reference point. I know I can't always find appraisals for my items for server so even if the information is for a different server from the year before it's still useful.

btw, thanks for reading through my guide. Even if it is only 30% done.

its quite impossible to make a guide about prices. Prices can fluctuate due to an unstable economy or hacks. for example, once the penya hack came out, aibatts economy was fucked .

It's not meant to be exact. And as far as I know, Lawolf's economy hasn't been completely screwed over yet. Even in an unstable economy the prices will still be similar (with the exception of certain items which flood the market periodically: sunstones, spros, blessing of goddess, etc). Just because it's unpredictable, doesn't mean we can't know anything.
