A lot of people level with random RMs because...they can't get access to anything different. And there's many more 'random' RMs out there than RMs that are fit to be permanent.
The RM is actively helping you kill, buffing, healing, etc. They have every right, whether it's a perma or not, to what drops. Because remember, to them, you're just a random partner too. >_>
I'd split halfway, no matter who I was with, as long as the person is a good RM and does their job and deserves it.

Wow, I always split my drops in half with my partner--but that's if I'm leveling with someone else and not using my laptop to heal and buff myself. I'm kinda surprised at all these people not splitting drops, assuming the rm is doing a good job.
They do need the 250m they could get.
Well Mei, I know the story but...I guess it`s like a CW drop, people SHOULD share it, though many assholes won`t.
Once I go AoERM, I would end up splitting it 50/50 (or less, depending on their effort) with my RM if I have one, or 70/30 (in my favor, less if they're just AFK) with my leech if I didn't find an RM.
That said, I've been on the other side of this (i.e. being the RM of someone who found a Lightning Card) three times, and I've been told to essentialy fuck off and that I wasn't getting a damn thing all three times, so I'm rather bitter about it, and anyone who says they wouldn't give the RM anything doesn't deserve to level with an RM ever again.

You should HC and link without them asking, IMO! I find partners get really, really surprised (and happy) when they say "oh just keep me healed" and you suddenly start busting out concise SF/GTs, constant HCs/linking, and still maintain good healing.

There is nothing at all wrong with combat-buffing assuming you do it intelligently (i.e. keep two Heals/Heal Rains in the Action Slot and hit that if the partner's HP dips below 70% while buffing). That said, most RMs I've seen out in Azria can't do it to save their lives, but combat-buffing can be done well and is done well by good RMs. :P

Wow, it's a shame that the same thing happened all three times. o_o
*sees Blade in your sig* And lemme guess, your RM didn't get jack, eh?

Yeah, and each time I went and quit for several months. My current permanent partner is a friend of mine on another forum and he drug me back to FlyFF since he couldn't find a good RM to save his life.
Suffice it to say, my skills have blown him away and we're having a blast in Azria. He should hit 100 today. =^.^=;

No idea how much a lightning card is worth. I just got a voltage card, thought it was worth millions, then realized it's like 10k. So if my RM asks for it, why not? Give her all of it.
