thats right a yoyo ranger, basicly the exact oposite of the BJ.
my question is what is the stat build and skill build for this particular ranger?
iv herd of this build a few times and from what iv been told the ppl that use it love it.

I don't know who you've talked to.. but a Yoyo Ranger is fail D: ..

BJ works because jesters have a critical rate, so 1v1ing is easier for the jester's arrows.

Ranger is known for their block rate.. there would be no advantage for a YOYO user (1v1 player) to have extra block.. I mean.. it's useful.. but not as useful as it is for an AoEr, when tanking multiple enemies..

Flyff is about having fun, I suppose.. but honestly, YJ is MUCH better. The lvl 90 ranger set might help a little.. but it's not nearly as useful as the lvl 90 jester set.. and, as I stated earlier, rangers just weren't made for 1v1, let alone using yoyo 1v1ing e.e;;; .. they suck even with a bow already s:

Plus, all the skills of a ranger are for a bow user. The advantage of being the correct yoyo jester is just too much.. there are too many yoyo skills (like HoP) to pass up.

Rangers apparently USED TO use yoyos all the time in PvP. At least till yoyo stuns got nerfed. I think the main combo was stunlocking someone by Xlining them, then Arrow Rain/Fire Arrow. Not sure though.

unless you get +50% crit rate awakening on your cruiser suit and H Yoyo, don't even think of going yoyo ranger

Yoyos still get more damage per point of str than a bow does per point of dex though. I'd guess you'd want to go all str since rangers don't get the crit bonus jesters do. You'd need at least a +8 set, probably a +10 for the added hit rate though. I wouldn't recommend it as a serious build though, more somehing for screwing around. Could be fun and you'll have a unique build for a ranger, but it is not a serious build for grind whores.

as kamui said, it would definately just be something to screw around with like a full str ele or full int knight. it would not be something to seriously try to level or pvp with.

full str ranger deals way more damage with in pvp than full dex bow though...

more dmg--> lower attack speed? --> less hit rate? thats what im thinking

would u even be able to actually kill more people then full dex as a bow o.o?

obviously you would need additional hitrate from set and buff, but yoyo attack speed is by default higher than bow iirc.

i was doing 1k crossline and 800 normal hits with base str on my ranger at lvl 90, so i think with more str it will outdamage bow by far.

of course its no match to that of a jester.
