Well you guys, what I'm trying to say with the E.U. coming together is the fact that they already have come together to an extent. I explained earlier that they obviously will not have a union like the U.S.'s states but it will be a different unification. The E.U.'s main goal IS to make a unification among all of Europe unlike any unification in the world. I don't think you guys understand this. o_o
What I'm more saying for this whole topic is hypotheticals. Would, in the future if Europe joins together under the current ideals the E.U. is striving towards be able to have the capacity to, if necessary (again, hypothetical) overpower the U.S., not only militarily but also economically? We had some great discussions about it earlier then you all completely seemed to forget it was hypothetical and, MStevens, you haven't seemed to read the rest of the topic yet accuse Guor of not reading your post and started taking the topic in a different direction. >_<
This topic is purposefully not considering things like China/Russia or other 'bigger' threats that we should worry about, it's not to be taken so literally.

I think it would be safe to say any US invasion of europe would fail. I mean we had problems with iraq and vietnam. Even if we could defeat the combined forces of europe, controling the country after take over would be immpossible.
However, any European invasion of the U.S would also fail. Theirs no way and of your military would make it past the U.S naval forces.
Not to mention you all foget one thing, THe U.S has enough naval submarines to blow the world up serveral times over, which all the U.S would have to do is to threaten you with this reality, and you would have no choice but to risk nuclear war, and no country would risk that.
Also thiers no way Europe would ever unify in that matter, Im sure england would have a problem, and as much as you guys may say europe hates america, in the end the goverments of europe have strong ties with the U.S.
Take it how you will, the world relies on each other. Europe leans on america, and america leans on europe.
It would be stupid to ever go to war agianst each other, as hurting the U.S economy hurts the European econmy. And vice versa.
Really I would be more afraid of a India/china/japan/russia deal, as they have the manpower and the military might to challenge the world.
However what we have now is nuclear weapons, so any locigal country would not use military to defeat its foe, but an economical one.
Mark my words the U.S will never be taken over by militray force, but I can see it happening econimicaly.
Please look at that, the only part that delt with china/russia as you say was a total of maybe 5% of waht i said.
So I fail to see how a little tibet of what I put down totataly put your topic off.

Yeah but that sentence led some other people to talk about other things off the track of where the topic was going, and it started with you. o_O The size of the sentence doesn't matter, it's how much of an impact it puts on the reader. I was just saying that the topic got a little off track where it was, I'm not trying to make accusations...just trying to put the topic more on track, that's all. not so sure how much help South/central America would be but im sure they will back up US.
Folowing that japan is closer to america then anyone so thay will just keep on shipping shit our way and not to EU i suppose. But we cant forget about Africa, this also im asuming, if everything goes well with darfur/darfor/darfour(? whatever) then im sure we will have some of africa coming up from below the EU. Not counting what Egypt/Iraq/Libya/Sudan will do.
We are also forgeting to mention were will the war be faugt? If its on the EU soil then im sure Portigul, Spain, UK, Ireland, and france are the first fucked, depending on thair naval forces, america will probebly do a D-Day. Then Spain, Norway, and Sweeden. The hardest to take down would be Germany simply because thair some of the hardest muther fuckers on this earth. Crazy.
Now if it wher to take place on US soil then america would have some SERIOUS shit on thair hands. They will probebly come in thrue North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida. Probebly thrue SC. And thats only if thay can get past the brick wall we have as a naval def. Im willing to predict that if we do get a presice invasion of america then the american will probebly lose within 3-10 months thats only if thay get past the fucking pacific wich will be fucking covered in the Navy( wich just lets face it, is not going to happen), going as far as Navada or going to canada/mexico as our front lines. Americans(myself) are just so safe and cozy in our homes that we fail to see that if thay could manage to get on our shores, with enough people/wep/transport/supplies then thairs a good chance /fucked, But then again im sure the EU would be just as fucked if we get into thair.
How the hell would the EU eaven be kind of eaven sorta close to being a super power? Lets just say that EU became a big ass nation, then they will probebly be a shit load of nation combining from thair. IE: The Asiens, The Americas, The Africans, The EU. Then what? That topic ends thair.
Also the moment nukes get involved, well we probebly wont know about it. Also althou the US have an invredible naval armada, that wont matter when we are in the inner countrys, good for def, not so good for atacking nations away from the cost. Unless we want to bomb the shit out of someone. Also i highly dought that ANY combination of naval forces could get past our def, thats not including all the planes that ,as soon as we hear that the EU is atacking us, will be coming to the east cost. Thats going to be rediculus. And if thay do touch the shore im positive every state on the shore line would be evacuated, the army/coast guard/marines/ air force/navy. SHIIIIIIIIIITTTTT 50% of them is more then enough. If you can get past all that shit then
