What if flyff became subscription based? -

I have a question for all you Flyffers out there...what would u do if flyff became a monthly subscription based game? How many people would just flat out quit and how many would sustain their addiction to the game? And instead of just tacking on a subscritption fee, they reduced the price of gpotato. Or better yet, made cash shop items just another item in the game, but with a standard price? Or better YET, make cs drop from giants or designated giants. They could also improve the "collector system" by making cloth items or any cs items able to be collected. This is all speculation+me being bored. Feel free to state your opinion and views.

I'd also pay. They wouldn't be blinded by their feeling of the need to constantly add CS updates and most likely the countless bugs and such would FINALLY be fixed, and the storyline could actually start being a part of Flyff rather than just a factor everyone ignores.
And plus, really, I think a lot of us spend more on Flyff in a year than we would if we only had to pay like $10 a month, lol. So it'd be less money than most of us already pay anyway.

I've also hit this point.
I mean, I honestly see Flyff as a scam in ways. The only thing that keeps me playing it is honestly, the game IS pretty good considering the other options (And WoW's not on my list cause I dun wanna be a WoW zombie).
I seriously think the CS whores need to sit down and just calculate how high Flyff would have to charge per month for them to end up paying more than they do now. Pritty fukn high, I'd say. :V Though perhaps some of those CSers enjoy their high spot.
Anyways, with the release of those cards you can buy in stores, I think it's pretty set in stone that Flyff will stay free to play, 70$ a month to enjoy.
If the game was fixed in areas such as balancing and skills, and if I was physically able to, I'd pay if I wanted a p2p mmo. However, there are many better p2p games than current flyff currently; subscription would put a nice big dent into it's player base, and prolly not just the f2p'ers.

I understand that a lot of cs users would lose a lot of their "status" from a subscription based game...cant spend half their paychecks just to look like they own in a game. If you actually had to work HARD to be good on this game, i think a lot of people would simply leave on the fact that they cant sit on their butts and put a credit card through just to get a few bil. On the other hand, there are some people *coughmecough* how would enjoy the change in pace. Finally get this game on track. I'm really sick of looking at people who i know for a fact buy gpots on a regular basis and have the top equipment and top weapons, while others who work hard trading, cwing, and gianting for their money.

I know people make the arguement you CAN earn money in this game (I don't know how true that is for the average person. I consider my luck with drops to be pretty god-like. I shit sunstones, man. D: ), but the point is those CSers are sliding a credit card into a machine, owning the game, and then still having spare time to go frolick in a field of flowers.
We have to choose between COMPETING (not even owning, just flat-out competing with them MAYBE.) with them, or frolicking. We're gonna choose frolicking yknow, so yeah, the gap between CSers and non-CSers is pretty big.
And any CSer who says a non-CSer should just stop being lazy can go fuck themselves.

No. Seriously not. Flyff simply doesn`t worth THAT much, it`s a game that if you pay for it then you get bonuses, and that`s the way it is, it`s not good enough to success as a must-pay game. I really like it, but that`s simply the truth :X

I'd quit for a while, just to save up and have enough for the monthly payments without cutting in to important stuff and eventually I'd come back to it and pay.

I wouldn't pay. As it is right now, FlyFF's too unbalanced to bother me into actually paying to grind or hunt giants till I drop. To catch up with current cs-ers and their +10 ultimates with +50% sucking up ability or whatnot.
I know someone that's "invested" more than $200 in less than 1 month; I can just imagine how filthy rich her char got. There's no way a p2p FlyFF can make up for that.
If it went pay-to-play (which Gala specifically proclaimed it never would, but this is hypothetical), I'd quit at the drop of a hat.
I've been down the pay-to-play path before with iRO after I fell in love with it during the beta, but never again. Eventually, I feel obligated to play only to justify the money I put into it and that's no way to 'play' a game, in my opinion. I won't do it again.
If FlyFF went pay, I'd just play GuildWars exclusively again, and dabble in other free MMOs. The fact FlyFF is free is what got me to try it in the first place, because it was like a 3D, free RO substitute. And play single-player RPGs and other games.
I don't mind the CS, but I also don't PvP or feel a rivalry with people who depend on it to make themselves feel like they're somehow better than anyone else in the game. I have a CS set my friend bought for me with gpots, but I've never spent a dime on the game myself. I WILL in the next few months, but only for a reskill for my merc and I'll probably just get a gpot card for my anniversary or birthday this summer.
