Q: Can you tell me a little bit about rangers?
Spoiler
Rangers are one of the fastest fighting-class levelers in game with their ability to quickly gather monsters with fastwalker and of course, their AoE. Their blockrate with the help of perfect block make them excellent AoErs and fun characters to play.
Rangers are a unique class not often chosen by the Flyff population. For that reason, their upgraded armor is comparitively cheaper. Rangers are a class designed for players who care most for PvM (Player versus Monster) and leveling. They are not recommended for people who wish to excel in PvP (Player versus Player), gianting, and 1v1. However, while they don't excel in these areas, that does not mean that rangers are unable to do it :3
If you're a person who wants a unique class with an enjoyable leveling pattern (in my opinion) that levels fast, ranger may be a class to consider :D .. Note that this class will require a bit more work than the usual double click or action slot, however. (See Kinneko's video in "What skills should I max?" to see how rangers level)
Q: What are some short hands and terminology I should familiarize myself with?
Spoiler
AoE: Area of Effect
This refers to skills cast which cover and attack all mobs/players in an area. The ranger utilizes AoE skills to attack more than one enemy at once.
1v1: One versus One
The opposite of AoE, 1v1 is when you are attacking only one other target.
PvP: Player versus Player
PvP is basically in a setting where your character will be dueling, or fighting another player.
PvM: Player versus Monster
PvM is basically in a setting where your character will be attacking another monster.
DoT: Damage over Time
DoT refers to a skill which may remain activated for a certain amount of time, and deals damage during this time. When shot, Flame Arrow creates a Burning Field, which is a circle of fire that continuously damages mobs/players for a certain amount of time. Arrow Rain is the other skill a ranger uses, which has a DoT.
Leveling Pattern
Use refreshers and spam junk arrow. You should place Junk Arrow into your action slot for faster shooting. I recommend adding 3, not 5, or else the cooldown rate will be too great. (View "What skills should I master?" for what skills you should have pre-60). Do not add INT if you're running out of MP- wear an MP necklace. If you don't like losing money on refreshers, you can sell quest items or make them into pet feed and sell them.
You can also level without Junk Arrow, but without an assist's haste, this will be slower.
Adding Stats
In terms of stat points, I would say, to each their own. If you feel like you're close to dying while leveling, you should add more STA. Make sure you note at what level you want to cap stamina (View below for the different builds). Some people like to go pure DEX, until they need to start pumping stamina for AoEing at lvl 60. For the 1v1er, add DEX until level ~93, or some little stamina if you wish to play it safe.
Where to level?
The general rule is to level 4-6 levels above your own level. You can also read: Bowjesters, and You: Training by SpiritDragon23 for an idea of the monsters you can level at. Prior to lvl 60, bow acrobats are similar in build and leveling style.
What to equip?
Green armor and equipment is always a plus, and will help make leveling faster. However, many people feel that 1->60 is fast enough so that they do not need to invest in green equipment. If you are a quick enough leveler (so that the prices don't change), and are well versed in the prices on the market, you can consider investing in a green set and simply reselling it for the same price- many people are under the wrong impression that buying a green set is losing money. However, if you're smart, it is more of a library, where you purchase a set, and simply sell it again for the same price later. Of course, it will take time to buy and sell, which is why some people feel that leveling 1->60 without a green set is faster.
For the 1v1 ranger, they can consider getting the Cruiser/Hyper Set (lvl 45) or the CW Set (lvl ~50), which can be used for quite some time.
Don't Forget:
- Start the Red Bang quest prior to turning to lvl 60
- Do the SM Dungeon quest for some additional EXP if you're bored of training
Q: Where should I put my stats? (AoE)
Spoiler
A Little Entertainment:
General Information: People who want to make an AoE ranger are often under the wrong impression that rangers need a lot of stamina. The truth though, is that rangers are not tankers- they're blockers and evaders. For this reason, rangers actually work best with DEX, and some STA- but not as much as other AoErs, such as knights.

What would each stat do for me, specifically as a ranger?
Spoiler
STR
As I know of, nothing
INT
Testing with and without Mental Sign, +20 INT increases the DoT of Flame Arrow by about 20-30 damage. Really not worth it. However, +INT also provides a higher MP base. While I definitely do not recommend adding stat points to INT, an RM should buff with Mental Sign.
STA
Adds more HP and defense for the Ranger. Remember that more HP is not always better, or more useful. Points into STA take away from points from DEX
DEX
Increases the striking power of the bow and the evasion/block of the ranger. This is where the majority of your points will go.
Non-Restat, Cookie Cutter Build:
(lvl 60+)
STA: 40 DEX: xx
This build is great for people who don't want to have to afford a restat, and is perhaps one of the more popular builds for rangers. AoEing may prove challenging in the beginning because of the lack of blockage in the beginning, but staying on the low STA spectrum will allow these rangers to take advantage of pooling the rest of the stat points into DEX- at 75+, the collected DEX will create a significant block rate, and users of this build will be thankful for the extra DEX. When going to desert mobs later on, this STA will become useful once again.
This build is only recommended for people who will always have an RM with them while leveling, or for people who have insanely awakened +HP/+STA boosting equipment (Enough to add +40 STA, and more, which is what maxed Heap Up from the RM would provide). Even with an RM, +HP/+STA boosting equipment is almost a must. The advantage of this build is being able to have a full dex ranger at lvl 75 without using a restat- be prepared to always be on guard, watching your health, fooding, mp potting when necessary.. and even dying sometimes from the hard crits from around 60-75. Read FredaL's experience with this build here: Your thoughts on a FULL DEX Ranger
Restat, Cookie Cutter Build*:
(lvl 60-75) STA: 50-60 DEX: xx
(lvl 75-93ish) DEX: xx
This build will take into account the extra stamina needed for rangers from 60-75, before there are enough status points collected to pool into DEX for the block rate. At 75, it is then recommended to restat into a pure DEX, blocking, and evading machine. Why 75? This is not only when a lot of status points collected, but also when most people will switch to an Oska/Okas set, which is presumably highly upgraded (= HP/blocking bonuses)
* = Note that full dex builds are only recommended for people who can obtain a +6-+8 set (even +6 is iffy for those with full dex)
Desert, Cookie Cutter Build:
(lvl 105+) STA: 35 DEX: xx
A lot of people were probably wondering why I was saying lvl ~93 for the pure dex builds. 35 STA is around the recommended amount of STA a ranger should have by the time they are 105+ and ready for the desert mobs. For that reason, a ranger should start pumping into STA around lvl 93.
A Note About Azria
With the large amount of mobs available in Azria, you may find that your ranger will need more STA than usual. Yes, throughout this entire thread I stress to go with DEX for more block- however, remember that, with more mobs attacking you, you'll have a higher chance of getting hit. With the large amount of mobs in Azria, and the ability to gather many of them, you actually may find adding more STA useful.
As for how much, it is up to you.. but don't be shy of going over 40 STA, even. Play around and see what works best for you :]
Cookie Cutter ?_?
"Cookie Cutter" means that while many rangers agree that these are the most effective builds, they are obviously not the only builds out there. Experiment on your own to find the build that is most comfortable to you, your equipment, and your interests. For example, people who like to PvP may be interested in adding more STA.
Q: What skills should I master/What's the skill order I should cast in while leveling? (AoE)

NOTE: Make sure you save your reskill from lvl 15!! -- You will use this at lvl 60, following your job change :3

Simulator that does pretty much everything v11, including:
1. Stats
2. Skills
3. Items
4. Buffs
5. Pets
*may have errors with block rate calculation*
Junk Arrow (lvl 15)
Kill monsters by using Junk Arrow, and place it in your action slot (add 2 or 3, not 5). Uses MP- don't add INT to make up for the lack of MP. Wear a mental necklace instead.
Bow Mastery (lvl 20)
Some people say that every additional damage point counts- note that this only adds up to +20 damage mastered.
Perfect Block (lvl 45)
Increases your blockrate- this will be useful for people as a ranger as well :3 .. Max it ASAP. It's your best friend.
Arrow Rain (lvl 50)
This is optional. Some people argue that Arrow Rain's AoE allows them to level faster than spamming Junk Arrow. I personally do not recommend using Arrow Rain until level 60 because of the obnoxious cooldown rate, but some people like leveling with arrow rain despite this.
After mastering the above skills, you can then pool points into the skill which you feel will be most useful to you:
Fastwalker (lvl 18)
Increases your speed and allows you to gather mobs faster. Useful especially for mobs which are far apart. I'd master this first if you are more focused on leveling, and putting off PvP for later.
See how RangerFor3ver uses Fast Walker while AoEing in Azria:
Spoiler
Fast Shot (lvl 65; more 1v1/PvP skill, but some AoE rangers like this too)
Increases your attack speed, allowing you to shoot arrows for faster gathering. Some rangers hit 100% attack speed with a mastered haste, and with Fast Shot at a lower level; however, most rangers should have more than enough skill points to go around, and not everyone will always have an RM with them, so maxing it won't hurt.
Nature (lvl 70)
Helps increase your magic defense- useful for mobs that attack from ranged mobs. It's not very significant, but you can add points to this skill later if you wish. A mage class' attack is too strong for Nature to be of any significance in PvP. *Note: I recently tested Nature, and have found no difference nor reduction in how much I was being hit whatsoever .. >.> .. perhaps "magical defense" will be incorporated later on, but as of v11, there isn't much difference*
PvP/1v1 Skills examples:
- Junk Arrow
- Dark Illusion
- Fast Shot (increases your attack speed)
- Silent Arrow (lvl 75- silences magic spells)
- Auto Shot (View Jinxy's testing of Auto Shot here:Is auto shot any good?)
What's the skill order I should use?
"Kinneko's Method"

explanation and demonstration of the ranger's AoE skills (it's awesome :3 ~)
This video created much discussion amongst rangers regarding their preferred skill order. You can view which order they use, and decide for yourself which method best suits you: AoE Ranger Skills Sequence Video
;~; I don't have my reskill anymore!!
If you don't have your reskill anymore, be very careful with your skill points. Don't master any skills unless they are necessary. The skills pre-60 that you can master are Perfect Block and Arrow Rain. You might be at a disadvantage in comparison to other AoE rangers, depending on where you put those points. To see how many skill points you'll have to play around with, use the skill calculators above in this section.
If you are a perfectionist, you can start over with a new character. If you are a slow leveler, or don't mind, just keep playing :3 .. the point of the game is to have fun ^.^ .. so if it's not a big deal to you, then don't feel too down. I would personally choose Flame Arrow and Arrow Rain as my preferred AoEs to master. Make sure you have perfect block before any of those AoEs, though o:
Q: Is it possible to solo as a ranger? I don't like having to find a healer
Spoiler
Truth: Everyone Needs a Partner
A concern for many people is the thought of having to find an FS. So, yes, it is "possible" AoE without an assist/ringmaster, although it may prove to be more difficult. However, know that by lvl 50, everyone should have a partner of some sort, or leveling will be extremely slow. You should try to find someone fighting alone, and ask them if they want to level together, and join an advanced party. Many people love leveling with BPs because BPs can help buff them, which could be something to take into consideration while finding a partner.
Either way, make sure to find someone to level with if you can, and join an adv party (There are people shouting "ADV PARTY SEARCHING FOR FILLERS" all the time). It'll make leveling much faster.
Later Levels
Note that higher up, almost all classes require leveling with an RM, so be prepared to need an RM for efficient leveling. That being said, it is somewhat possible to solo, but it will require a lot of "Hit & Run," technique and pilling. I do not recommend you do this unless you are very bored, and do not mind low exp; this is also most effective at higher levels, when your block rate is higher.
Wink soloing Popcranks
As you can see in this video, Wink still performs well (although she could perform better with an RM, as would almost any class); notice her technique and how she "hits & runs" at times, to give her time to regain back HP
Spoiler
Q: How can I be a 1v1 ranger?
Spoiler
Rangers weren't made for 1v1
But that doen't mean that they can't be. There are many rangers who have chosen to 1v1 over AoEing, so you wouldn't be alone. I still do not recommend leveling alone. You should have a partner, whether it be a fighting partner or a healer (see question above). Remember though, that the strength of the ranger is as an AoEr. 1v1ing will be slower for a ranger; in many cases, I would recommend just becoming a bow jester.
Why?
Spoiler
Jesters have an amazing critical rate, while rangers have an amazing block rate. The critical rate of the jester increases the attack per arrow shot, which is much more useful for someone who is leveling 1v1 with the bow. The rangers' block rate is much more useful for AoEing. Since the jester has the higher critical rate, the jester will ultimately kill much faster 1v1 than the ranger.
It's almost impossible to match the critical rate of a jester with a ranger, without extremely expensive equipment (and even then, the jester doesn't need to try nearly as hard to be just as great)
The Skills
For a ranger who is planning to 1v1 for the rest of their lives, I would recommend:
- Perfect Block
- Fast Shot
- Junk Arrow
- Auto Shot (View Jinxy's testing of Auto Shot here:Is auto shot any good?)
For someone who is only planning to 1v1 from time to time, I would work on Fast Shot and Auto Shot.
I would recommend the Clockworks set for the +10% attack speed available, and the +14% critical damage is nice too. You can also equip the NPC pieces of the ranger set if you cannot afford some of the parts. It's important to note that a ranger will be near 100% attack speed with a mastered haste, so you may not need all the +% attack speed pieces. If you want the +attack speed, you can also consider using a lvl 30 Layered/Miragle set, although the defense will be extremely low.
Another alternative to the Clockworks set would be the lvl 45 Cruiser/Hyper set, for its +40% Critical Damage. The reason I recommend a CW set over the Cruiser/Hyper Set is because Rangers will not have as high of a critical rate as a Bow Jester, making the +% crit much more useful for faster leveling for the ranger. However, if you have over 40%+, you may perform better with the Cruiser/Hyper set (note though, that at lvl 76 and full dex, I could only reach 40%+ with CW set); Switch to the lvl 90 set at lvl 90 for 1v1ers, which offers a +12% Critical Rate.
Guardian Bow
Use the Angel's Bow if you're looking for an increased Hit Rate at level 90. At level 105, switch to the Legendary Golden Bow.
For someone who is unable to afford a Guardian Bow, use an NPC bow.
Demol Earrings (Mighteers)
+DEX Rings
Use +STA rings if you're finding yourself low on HP
lvl 60
For the AoE ranger, there are several options at lvl 60:
Upgraded lvl 45 Cruiser/Hyper Set or CW Acrobat Set -- If you have another account with a Cruiser/Hyper set (upgraded +6 or above), a ranger will fare just fine AoEing with it because of its many bonuses. A CW Set also works great for AoEing, and is a great piece for rangers who plan to switch off AoEing and 1v1ing at times. However, if you don't have the money for these sets, do not worry about it. The Cruiser/Hyper set is only for people who already have this set from another character, and the NPC blue set works just as fine.
NPC Blue Set, Grantus/Grentio -- This is the set the majority of rangers will use. Try to find the pieces from players' shops if you are low on money. If you're lucky, you may even find +3 pieces. I don't really recommend upgrading the pieces to +3 unless you have the money to. There is an additional +3% block, but I don't think it's worth it, considering the cost of sunstones. Elementing is a must.
Some people also prefer using 3/4 Cruiser/Hyper pieces for the -MP% reduction, and using the NPC Blue Suit. I personally wouldn't like to sacrifice my defense for this, but the lvl 45 pieces may be easier to find +3ed. In addition, it is a money-saver if you used the lvl 45 set back when you were pre-60 leveling.
Why not the lvl 60 Green Set?
Spoiler
The Reborn gives: 4/4: Def+48, Hit Rate +15%, STR +10
As you can see, it has a lack of defense and lack of useful green bonuses (Hit Rate? STR?) for AoE rangers. You would be much better off with the NPC or CW set o:
lvl 71-74
NPC Blue Set, Geiler/Genesan -- Is it worth to get for four levels? I personally felt it was worth the money. The defense rate is higher, and level 71-74 will be a bit slower leveling-wise. As before, you should element your suit, but not worry too much about upgrading it. Note that this is for people who used the NPC Blue Set; those who use the CW or an upgraded Hyper/Cruiser set should be fine, and can switch at lvl 75.
lvl 75-105
Oska/Okas Set - Use it- the +15% HP Rate is a lovely thing to have. It is a worthy investment, and I highly recommend buying this set upgraded, or upgrading this set. It may be more difficult to find an upgraded set, as rangers are less popular, but if you can find one, it may be cheaper to buy it upgraded than upgrading it yourself. Since most people use this set until lvl 105, it's a worthwhile investment. Try to aim for a +6 or +8 upgrade, for the +% Block Rate. (Upgrading Bonuses).
Why not the lvl 90 set?
Aren/Arsen Set -- The lvl 90 set's bonuses include a +50 Defense, +7 STR (I don't know why ._.) and +12% Critical Rate bonus. This would arguably be more useful for the 1v1 Ranger. However, some people do prefer the lvl 90 set for the defense, and others have used the lvl 90 set because they buy statted pieces that may make up for its lack of usefulness.
The Guardian Bow has a nice +15% HP bonus which could be useful for the AoE ranger. However, unlike BJs, rangers do not heavily rely on it. If you cannot afford the GBow, do not fret too much- the HBow at lvl 75 is very useful :3 .. just use an NPC bow in the mean time. For those with the GBow, this is also a nice bow to use for gianting or PvPing
lvl 75
Those with a GBow may also consider getting a Historic Bow, with its +10 DEX and +4 STA and higher attack rating. As for which is better at lvl 75, it is really up to the user. The +15% HP might be preferred by people who like the extra HP cushion despite the block rate. Others may prefer the +10 DEX and higher attack rating.. and even others may keep both depending on their mood. The GBow is nice to keep around for PvPing and gianting purposes.
lvl 90
Angel's Bow at lvl 90 is useful for those who are leveling at the desert with its +20% HP. Most rangers will use this bow for the rest of their career for AoEing, so buying an upgraded one will go a long way
Many thanks to Kinneko for her lovely bow screenshots ♥ ~ :3 .. what would I do without you? xD
(For general leveling purposes) From my experience, because most rangers will have a build with more dex, +% attack will increase your stats overall more (Rangers with higher dex will not have as much defense and HP to +%). +% attack is my suggestion for this reason, as well as the fact that with a higher attack rate, you kill your mobs faster, which means you will need to tank less. Less time tanking = less hits to block = more chance to survive xD
and xmak's take on it for AoE Rangers:

I was lvl 91 master when v11 was released and azria was created. I went to aoe princes (lvl 97 mobs) and every aoe took 30-40 mobs. However at beginning azria mobs had rage ( they removed it later), and i kept die alot usally because i didnt kill fast enough (2 waves of hits in rage usually kill me). So i thought if i pimp more hp, i will survive better. I removed 16% attack and put 28% hp in my suit. Think it helped? Not much. Now each time that i aoed mobs i had to survive 3-4 waves of rage hits, which still killed me. It didnt gave me safety, but more danger. At this point i decided to re-make my att suit, i had clean stated suit and 1 lightning same time, so i made my suit +19% attack, and yes..it worked much better, the trick is to kill the mobs before they kill you lol..
This is example: when this video was taken azria mobs still had rage, and if i woud stop attack even for one moment and leave them alive in rage i woud got pwned in sec....
Damage>>Hp/Def... The faster you kill, the less time you need to tank.
The amount of mobs doesnt matter, hp suit woudn't grand you ability to aoe bigger groups(unless you dont have ranerz +8).
At lvl 110 60 mamoth seemed to be limit, but my record was 92 mamoth in 1 aoe, with pure dex build and bloody bow.
When hp suit woud be better?
1. Sometimes i was dual-aoe with Ringmaster ~same lvl as me, he added Merkaba, in this case we had awesome kill speed, so even if i used hp suit we still killed fast.
2. Pvp. Hp is something that never enough for ranger, especcially in pvp .. when every Hop/asal kills you even at high lvls. Here it depend on your enemy, when i fight YJ i using angels bow and sometimes hp suit to survive the hop.
3. If your set not +8 and you dont have at least 250 dex. In this case you woud miss block, and only MAYBE hp suit woud work better.
Offtopic: 30% critical rate awaken better then 40% crit damage, unless you already have 70-75% crit.
+Attack piercings are recommended for 1v1 Rangers.
lvl 60-74
In the beginning, a ranger will have less block, as well as a set that is not as upgraded. In other words, think +STA and +DEF. Plugs are highly recommended (In fact, +9 will increase your level performance by a ton). I have found that most rangers with a moderate build (40 STA or more) find DEX rings more helpful, however. As a full dex ranger, I used STA rings. Of course, as with all suggestions with this guide, it will vary from ranger to ranger because of playing style, other equips, etc.
For those who are still around lvl 50 and can't afford Plug+9, check out Plug+4 Dropping Guide/Fly fight guide to hunt them yourself (and to find some extra for some penya :3)
lvl 75+
From here on out, with a highly upgraded set, rangers can have the option of switching from plugs to demolearrings or speedos. My person choice would be highly upgraded demolearrings. Speedos may be useful, but comparitively to demolearrings, in my opinion, they aren't as much. Rangers already have a high block rate; plus, in PvP settings, speedos do not help much against skills. I will usually start with plugs at a spawn, and slowly move over to demolearrings (mine are just +9) after getting used to the feel. This is my own personal strategy, however. Find your own style of play and your own preferences.
I personally found Gore Necklaces useful throughout (60+). Some people find Mental Necklaces better so that they do not have to focus as closely on both MP and HP (= better survivability). I liked having my Gore for the HP cushion. Additionally, after you get used to your own leveling sequence, you may not need to look at your MP as often (if at all).
Additional Notes
Remember that there are different situations in which certain jewerly may be better than others. The above suggestions are for leveling. For suggestions regarding gianting, view below.
Suit
You have two options with elementing your suit. It is up to you whether you would like to see 0's, or to see damage per hit reduced. Some rangers choose one way, and others, choose the other way- some even switch off. Factors you should consider while deciding are: monster level, block rate, attack of the monster, your level. Either one you choose, it makes most sense to upgrade the suit to +3 element, financially, and for future mobs of a different element.
Same element: The same elemental upgrade will cause some of the monster's attacks to be 0's. People argue that the same element is a nice complement to the ranger's block rate (block hit block 0 miss hit block 0 miss block)
Stronger element: An elemental piercing of a stronger element will reduce the damage of attack. After getting comfortable leveling at the same mob for a while, you can choose to element your suit to the same element, making some of the mobs' attacks 0 if you wish.

example: a lvl 106 knight with 1.6k def receives around 200 damage from a mammoth. blocked damage is the same. even with 2k def its still 200 damage. however, once he levels up to 107, the damage decreases to 150. (dont nail me down on the numbers, its been a while that i aoe'ed without element at mammoths)
HOWEVER: opposing element decreases that minimum damage (roughly cuts it by half with a +3 elemented suit)
having said that all...
the point is, same element *does* help, but in the in the levels when you begin to level at a mob, for example lvl 90-92 at kerns, you better use an opposing elemented suit, since blocked damage still is pretty high. opposing element also saves you from high crits. people who are finished with muffrins and have to face popcranks (no element) sure experience that. popcranks hit hard without elemental protection.
now once you have leveled a few levels at that mob and feel comfortable leveling there now, not taking too much damage and not having too many near-death experiences anymore, then you can consider changing to same elemented suit.
Weapon
For 1v1 Rangers, it is most common to upgrade bows with water for the mines, and +fire for lvl 90+ mobs
For AoE Rangers, a +fire bow is lovely for the increase in DoT for flaming arrow. It also increases the damage of the other AoE attacks as well. A +water bow will decrease your DoT for flaming arrow. People argue that +fire elementing your bow is not worth the investment, as it only increases the damage by a bit, but for those who are high in level and don't plan on switching bows soon, it can be deemed as a worthwhile investment.
Q: What are some nuances to rangers in regard to their AoE damage, and what affects it?
Spoiler
This section was written for the nerds who want to know everything about rangers! xD .. While these tidbits may not affect your playing style, they're random facts about a rangers' AoE that you may not have known before :3
Elemental Damage
All of the ranger's AoEs are not elemental, besides Flame Arrow. For the rest of the AoEs, therefore, the element of the mob you fight doesn't matter. However, Flame Arrow's DoT is slightly elemental damage, meaning that its DoT will do more on wind-elemented mobs, and less on water-elemented mobs. This shouldn't really factor into which mobs you fight, although it can help to explain why some mobs may die faster than others.
INT (Mentioned in Stats Section) INT will increase the damage of your DoTs, although not by much. A max Mental Sign (+20 INT) increased the DoT of Flame Arrow and Arrow Rain by about ~20 damage. While you should not add points into INT, an RM should still help buff Mental Sign on you while leveling.

From this tests we can see that skills ice arrow, piercing arrow and initial flaming arrow damane (not dot) are based on dex (awakened dex on angels bow makes the damage close to bloody's, even through there almost 100 att rate difference between 2 bows), but i think that arrow rain based on attack rate, not on dex because the damage difference is huge, and angels bow not even close to bloody.
When bloody bow was +10 fire it made ~1700 flaming arrow DOT unbuffed, so yes, water element on ranger's bow making flaming field weaker. Dex doesnt makes burning field stronger. I really dont know why, because my arek ring +12 increasing 70 attack rate, but still not making any difference on flaming field. From other side sf/gt/bow masteries/INT increasing dot damage of flaming arrow.
*All tests was made on neutural element mobs, without any buffs/self buffs.
Q: Are there any 1v1/PvP/Gianting suggestions for rangers (both AoE & 1v1)?
Equipment for Gianting & PvM
Like the suggestions for 1v1 Ranger, I recommend equipping CW Set when 1v1ing. The pieces are as follows, and you may mix and match any way you please: (Note that I do not know whether I would suggest this for PvP; your highly upgraded set may be more useful than mixing and matching CW pieces; I have only tried this with gianting and PvM)

You can also look into the Hyper/Cruiser Set for the +40% critical damage, although this is more recommended for rangers who can achieve +40% critical rate or more without the CW set, as this makes the +40% critical damage more useful.
For those lvl 90+, you can also look into the lvl 90 green set, Asren/Aren, which adds a +12% Critical Rate (4/4)
Along with the CW/lvl 90 Set, I would equip:
- DemolEarrings (or a mix with plugs, which may be preferred for those gianting; remember that you need to be able to tank the giant's attacks during rage)
- ArekRings (You may want to consider using StamRings for the same reason as above)
- Guardian Bow (60+)/Legendary Golden Bow (105+)
- Awakened/Statted Equipment with: DEX, Critical+%, Critical Damage+%, Attack Speed+% (if you cannot get to 100%)
Mix and Match Example (100% aspd & 5x% Critical Rate):
I personally have used my upgraded Okas set with +16% attack, and added on the Helmet and Boots (= +14% Critical Rate). At level 76, I was able to reach around 98% attack speed, and 54% critical rate with the helm, boots, and a Guardian Bow [with haste, but not including fast shot].
Had I had the gauntlet, I would have reached 100% attack speed, so my "ideal" armor at lvl 76 as a full dex ranger would be as follows (note that everyone's "ideal" armor will be different, depending strongly on build, amount of DEX, equipment, level, skill level, RM/FS available, etc; this is just an example):
It's gorgeous, Mei-chan. You've really outdone yourself! Glad I could be of help, too, and I'll be willing to help anyone just like the other experienced rangers around here will be. I hope this will not only be a great thread, but a great guide as well
great idea =D first question. how do you endure ksers?
Patience is just about the only thing you can do, unfortunately. If you're on the Demian server, you can always whack them (as long as you can get away) or get a high leveled friend to get rid of them. Otherwise, there's really nothing you can do. People respond different.
Sometimes, if you yell profanity at people, they seem to pull the "lol noob" speech and run away. Sometimes that encourages them, and some will leave after prolongued lack of acknowledgement (ignoring them). Some insist that you move, and sometimes it's the best thing to do. It really depends x_x

Along with what Kinneko said, you can also argue with the KSers that they won't get any experience KSing. The FS of someone who KSed me the other day was like, "Hey, how come I didn't get exp?" .. xD .. People who KS will get less exp- so as selfish as they may be, you can let them know that they're just wasting their time and yours.
