So, I AoE. Therefore, I am on occasion confronted with someone who feels it is a good idea to kill-steal me. What a jerk.

I suppose KSing can be accidental, and I do feel that that is excusable. If I'm running after a monster to add to my mob, and a current member of the mob is a good distance behind me, someone might mistake that for a yet-unclaimed monster, and attack it. They should at some point realize this, though, and either stop attacking it so that you can eventually fight it again, or kill it just so you don't get that annoying red line of text rolling across your screen. After that they should leave you alone, and find their own monsters to fight.

I have experienced this, and those who do it have been both appologetic, and not. But so much more often do I encounter someone who KSes me for fun, or just to be a jerk. And, oh, what a jerk they are. A monster is attacking me, and i can't kill it, because I "can fight a monster that is attaking another player." Well, it was mine first. And I'm sorry if i'm being greedy, but I believe that I am therefore entitled to kill it. So please, refrain from stealing my kills.

Also, why is it always acrobats that KS? I'm not being racist against acrobats, but I've noticed that whenever someone KSes me, he is more often than not, well, an acrobat (and, now that I am a higher level, a ranger or jester). What's up with that? I mean, sure, you're so cool with your long-range attacks, but lay off my mobs, okay? Jerk.

Now, in line with the philosophy that "two wrongs don't make a right," I do not respond harshly to this. I typically respond with a polite "Please don't KS," and am often greeted with a "Sorry," or that person's departure or cessation of KSing. Those guys are all right.
Plus, if I am a jerk in reponse to their jerkliness, what will that solve? A true jerk would proably not change no matter what I say, so I like to emerge with my dignity.

But sometimes, there are those jerks who won't leave you alone. Take the following examples.

I was AoEing hobos, and some random dude runs up to me and is like, "you can't AoE anymore, I'm going to KS you." Sure enough, he ran around me while I assembled mobs and he KSed most of those hobos. He was a jerk.

Another time, i was AoEing drillers. This acrobat KSed me a few times, and I'm like, "Please don't KS." He tells me to stop AoEing. I'm like, no, I have a right to AoE. He said, well, as long as you AoE i'm going to KS you. I'm like, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DRILLERS, WHY MUST YOU STEAL MINE? To which he did not respond, but continued his uncalled-for KSing. He was also a jerk.

Then there are those people who swear at you and call you a noob without merit. They are also jerks.

So, I guess this whole thing is an appeal to politeness. There are far too many jerks in the world of Flyff, and they must be stopped.

Let's rally the Politeness Corps.

People just like to be asses. Though i doubt many rangers were ksing you. Those were likely bjs. Rangers are an aoe class themselves, so they should know better. After all, they'll be inviting others to ks them later on if they act like it's acceptible practice.

edit: Of course there are asshole aoers too. The kind that come in, take the whole spawn you've been at for hours, refuse to leave you any, then start cursing at you when you ks them.

I've just become an AoEr... And it's already happened O.o°

I was AoEing at Dumps, when a BP came and began to KS. I was like "Uhmm, maybe he just made a mistake O.o", but he continued. Then I was about to say "STOP KSING ç__ç", when 'pop!', I died.

The message that you're not able to attack a monster because someone else is attacking it. On Demian you can damage any monster as long as they're not glitched.

But eh, what about AoE classes who come into your spawn, decide to leave nothing for you and then whine as soon as you shoot one of their monsters? I've seen plenty of them. So you can tank the whole spawn. Congrats. But if you're not gonna leave any monster for the two 1v1 classes who were training there before you, expect to be KSed.

And you mentioned Hobo's and Drillers.. KSing isn't as much of a problem at higher levels. People tend to get more respect for eachother. And I've personally had little problems with people KSing my AoE Assist at lower levels. Sure, they get a kill, but I get 10. I just let them waste their time.

But, I agree. KSing gets on my nerves. Most of the time I'll gather a mob and move away from the majority of whoever is around so I can kill by my lonesome.

Today I had somebody steal an item from me because I thought I would be safe picking it up after the entire mob was killed. But, I learned my lesson there.

This is one reason why I joined Demian. PKing. Will be fun to kill people who don't know proper gaming etiquette.

It'll be like why I play Counter-Strike. To kill the geeks of the internet and not be reprimanded by the laws of society.

In general, I have also experienced absolutely unnecessary KSing. These retards are going to exist no matter what we do, and are going to be jerks. We just need to learn to deal with it. Switch servers, take a 15 minute break, or switch mobs.

The great thing about Demian is that you can get them back. If you are a merc-based character, you can sneaker them to your hearts content. As a BP, I smack them around until they stun, or use sonic (as AoE mine hits very low) and keep them stunned. The second they decide to hit you back, just take them down. Your pink name goes away a few seconds later, and they lost some exp.
