I know that for aoe you should max prevention, heap, cats and burst crack and etc, but what order should I max them in? I have heap maxed right now at level 21, and I'm thinking of maxing prevention as soon as i get it after burst crack...
edit: also, my build I was thinking of going 100 sta rest str...
Prevention is nice to have, but I would actually put this as one of the lower priority buffs.. I think Beef Up would be more important (+STR = more damage), and then after, Cat's Reflex. Quick Step will be nice too, later on.. when your mobs are more far apart, though I would rank Prevention a bit more important.. I suppose it depends on your own preference. Prevention doesn't always go off, which is why sometimes I feel having other buffs is more important..
However, back when I used to be an AoE assist, prevention has saved me a couple times .. :3 .. so it isn't a bad thing to have either, even though it doesn't work all the time.
If you have skill points left over, maybe even level Mental Sign, for longer buffs (or you can get a +INT stick), or Stonehand o_O .. I think Stonehand works with skills.. I vaguely remember being able to stun some of the mobs, which helped since they wouldn't hit me then xD .. but since you're not 1v1, stun will definitely not be as important as the other buffs.

I don't know if that order is the order of importance.. but I would definitely choose Beef Up first over Prevention.
Also, equip-wise, should I use stam rings and plugs? Or should I use plugs and a pair of vigor+9's for faster killing?
Back in v5 (I'm old school.. I know >.>;; ..) I had only level 10 heap up (you had to spam skills to level them), and I did fine. If you find tanking not a problem, I would personally equip the vigor+9s and plugs.. up to you, though.. having more stamina might let you kill more mobs at once, too.
