My school is actually censoring public displays of affection. Wtf is this?! Apparently you aren't supposed to kiss your own Bf/Gf in public. Yesterday I got in trouble for HUGGING someone.

Do anyone of you believe in this type of censorship? And should this rule be allowed to exist x_X?

It's stupid, and pretty much destroys your freedom. Putting it short, your school is retarded for doing that, thinking that everybody has to act like a robot. Diversity is the spice of life, why ruin it?

Remember, you have no guarantees of freedom in school. They own you, and can do almost anything your parents can do to you.

I think it is pretty stupid. Kissing and making out? Sure, that may be a little edgy for some people, and might best be kept in private, but making hugging against the rules is outrageous.

I've never been offended by public display of affection. If they like, start fucking right there then yeah: That's a problem. But kissing and hugging? Wtf it's hard to watch a movie without seeing kissing or hugging.

Unless if it's wild making out, I don't see any reason to tell them to stop.

Yep your right. I was just trying to set the record straight to remind all that public displays of affection are not a guaranteed right or anything in schools. I'm guessing this law serves the purpose of not exposing kids to intimacy (as if they won't experience it already by watching a few minutes of TV, or finding their uncles dirty magazines. Also, maybe they want to prevent jealousy amongst students or something. But it's just ridiculous.

Mine does it too, but only for kissing, not hugging. >_< I think it's mainly because it distracts other students (our halls are really cramped, and the last thing we want is two people making out clogging the halls). People still do it and it's annoying. And really, who wants to see 2 people making out in the middle of the hall? >_>

And there are people that get distracted easily and try to use any reason to not focus on things.

A lot of people just get completely distracted in class just sitting by their boyfriends/girlfriends, let alone kissing each other and who knows what else. >_>

My school done it to, people weren't allowed to even hold hands, yet another way of turning people into robots with no personality if you ask me, fuck society these days.

Meh, in my school they only prohibit to actually kiss, but you can go to behind the building and do it freely as no one will see you.

If you don't do it where everyone can see you, you're pretty much free to do what ever you want.

And until the early 90s in Portugal you weren't allowed to show any kind of affections in public, anywhere. :0
