If you have a nice set 90 sta should be enough, if not you will have to take less mobs.

Ok I just got to 75 and I've got a little predicament as I'm trying to get this blade to 90 on a budget.

Build: XXX STR, 30 STA, and 60 DEX

Equipments: Einy+3 basically

My predicament is with the weapons. I have two Haxes +8/+7 water and +8/+3 Water that I can use. I relize that going from swords to axes will significantly lower my hitrate so would it be better to just use the Haxe+8/+7 Water with a Dretra in the offhand for accuracy purposes?

Then again I would be leveling in the mines so would the HP cushion be an aid to make up for the lowly upgraded set? I mean what's a few misses when compared to the loss of experience. :S

You could get some more DEX, or upgrade the set to +4/6. Switching to Taytra/Dretra is fine, you don't need the HP that much. The nice HP and defense from the Einy and one H-Axe along with some base STA should allow you to survive.

I had Einy+6 with 2 H-Axes and 40 base STA, and I was able to tank 4 pinkies at 80, 8 of them at 85. You just need buffs.

This post is old, I know, but I have a better question now, worthy of being asked here, I believe.

If a Lvl73 Knight with 120 base STA and two Plugs+9 goes to Azria, is it worth it to try AoEing Yettis in 3/4 Recorn for the HP+15% bonus, or would the extra ~55 raw DEF from the full Lvl71 NPC set help more?

Naturally with a properly built FS accompanying him.

my merc to be blade is lvl37 eith 71 str with vigor rings 27sta an 20somting dex should i add the rest to dex an sta or dex?

Id say stick with the H axes. Cause the mines are argo you need a little bit of hp as youre set wont block alot. If you have a semi decent rm around with you, you will have no bother.

Id say the 3/4 Recorn should be enough. Whats the + of it?

reading some posts here i see that some blades think that they wont be able to level up witout greens +5 minimum. i hav a lvl 33 merc that is goin 2 be a blade. if you cant level up without greens i will make a dex knight for cheapers sets.
so what is it like to play a blade that is COMPLETELY broke. ie uses full NPC weapons and sets (mayb 1 green weapon) cuz im probably guna be that blade.

p.s. how do blades manage 2 scrape the millions they need 4 their eqs. my merc has 1.6m and i feel on top of the world, super rich. thnx 4 reading

I leveled to 60 on +0 npc sets. As i didnt have enough money for anything, i got money by giant hunting and npc'ing the drops.

ok well ait you were helping me with my blade in the other thread and ive considered some new things that i want to do
ok well instead of using Hswords Aaxes etc etc i want to use Dretras>Haxes>Aswords since they all give +speed and some other attribute that way i wont have to put so much into dex and just get the first speed break and also i was considering using rescorn/recorn +8 16 or higher but i think that einy/akan will help with the +str but anyways idk what the first speed break is for both sword and axe
so any constructive criticism? i want some to see what im doing wrong

Speed breaks dont really exist in these new versions. You can pretty much get 100% attack speed with haste,gt and beserk.

If i was you i would go with Dretras>H.axes>A.axe>LGA. Once you hit 75 and have the akan you have been talking about, it will be easy. I leveled with a +5 8%atk einy set in the mines from 78-88 and i done it in about 5 days. Easy stuff.
Once you have had an axe you wont want to go back to a sword.

You wont be able to Aoe properly solo after lv75 or so, if that is truly solo buffless and without a healer. At that point solo means you can take 3-4 monsters and kill them off really slowly.

I'll make it clear, the difference in attack rate @ level 75 between axes and swords is minor because your total STR isn't thát high yet. So unless you're using strentes+3 and a perfect tiger at level 80, the difference in attackrate between the two weaps gets nullified by the extra 14% crit 2 swords have.
Sure, the extra HP from the axes is nice in mines. But if you know what you're doing, getting ganged by more than 2 pinkies is fairly rare.
