Know this is a great site for advice on how to build your character for the best optimum performance, so that month that you put into getting to lvl 60 is not time wasted; but one thing I really don't see a lot of are personal customized builds. I have seen one from SilentXhill on his sucide knight build guide, and one from strafe on his full sta blade, but when it comes down to the class that you want to play as at lvl 60, there is normally one template that anybody can follow to get "their character".
Okay to the point: I know these builds work especially for lvling purposes and 2nd class purposes, but I have to ask if there are players out there who did not go with the convential builds. Like if you were trying to be a blade, you did not put everything into dex, but tried something different, or if you were trying to be a billposter, instead of going just full stamnia (like A LOT of the assists are doing now a days) you decided to put some of your stat build points into different places. Give me your take, what was the advantages of your unique builds, or disadvantages, and what playing styles would they have favored.

I have my own custom Assist build...messed up int and messed up sta =D I keep getting bored and adding random points to each one, so yeah my assist is pretty messed up, but I love him <3
i know a few ppl who went for the int bp thing, imo its about as usefull as a dex built mage.
i asked one why and they replied '' i'll lv fast because i can fight and support higher lv chaecters'' 2 weeks later i was about 30 lv's higher , lmao.
who lv's faster, int build or sta build bp. lmao. what a waste.
and what you have to understand is the ''normal'' stat build are more like guildlines.
when i say sta bp i dont mean nothing but sta, its down to the user to decide exactly how much to put in and what to put on other stats.
those 'typical builds'' are so you know roughly what stats you should be adding.
not so you can have the same build as everyone else.

My mage's build is fucked up. He has 24 dex and str. That is my customized build. I call it: "You idiot!! You wasted 18 points on worthless stats!! Go shoot yourself!! Get a restat NOW!!"
I am not very proud of it, but i can handle myself when it comes to 1v1 and i have no mp left.
In Beta 1 When I still played a ringmaster, I went to a hybrid RM, stupid mistake on my part. I did it because I got no parties. I wouldn't say it was 100% useless but I can't say I was the best supporter ever. You don't really see hybrid RMs around, do you? I could fight but I was also good at supporting enough too.
Right now for my merc, soon to be blade, I have a high dex stat followed closely by my sta, so it's something along the lines of
Dex; 5x
sta; 4x
(around the 4x lvls)
But my Yoyo acro is messed up, because of this build
sta 33
str 31
dex 30 (with arek ring)
int 25
I mean bows are no problem, but I want to be a jester and the YoYo killing is going slow. Though I do like this build because I can solo with a lvl 9 junk arrow, and still use Yoyos.

I think why people are going for the more traditional Stat Roles such as Dex Blade instead of Sta Blade and Dex Ranger instead of Int Ranger is all to do with the fact that people want to be the best.
People reconise you if you are Level 10x and have more fun.
People do not reconise you if you are level 4x and have more fun.
I suppose it's to do with human man kind :/ People always want to strive to be the best and come out on top. And the best way to do this? Leveling :/ Even I do it, even I enjoy the 5 second blue light hovering around me as I go from Level 42 to 43.
So it is all well and fine saying people should opt for the INT BP and the STA Blade but at the end of the day, will this feat overcome their low level and rubbish grinding skills? :/

Factors like grinding and strength shouldn't matter though. I mean as a sta balde I plan on being, sure my grinding is gonna suck, but at least to some degree my skills will have a purpose, so I just won't be hacking and slashing all day. And for those players who want to come out on top as the best Good Luck, cause there are a thousand other players who want the same thing. I am what I am and I'm all that I am, so are all the other players who are posting on this board; they may not have the best built characters in the world, but those characters give them a reason to keep playing the game, and those builds help adapt to their style, what they want out of their character and not what is expected.

<span style="color:#006600">Why shouldn't level be a factor? o_0; Yeah you have your way of enjoyment, but people are always striving to be level 60 to the next class. I'm not dismissing what you think is enjoyable, but I suppose for many, the staisfaction of gaining levels is greater than those of the strongest warrior.
Except in the case of Ringmasters, nothing from I have seen have been discussed about how players can 'kick arse'. I know ImmoralSister was all "lol" after getting her Blinkpool to level 20 and I thnk some Knights try to max their buffs/show off unique patterns to be powerful but at the end of the day, ingame there aren't really ways to show off anything else but "Who can defeat the Glaphens" etc. Even the PVP Arena can be easily overidden by getting a friend to pwer level you to Arch Mage or something.
Basically, the only known easy ways of getting reconised is by having a very formiddable Guild (again, not really applicable until higher levels) or gainng levels and skills. That, and fighting Clocksworks ~ seen as the best of the best. And even that is easy now due to some charecters being 90+
Life is just better at level 75+ anyways. Most players restart/quit because they have all/nearly all of their skills and grinding becomes very boring.
Who knows? Maybe this will increase with the introduction of 3rd Classes:/
I agree with you though. If my Assist could be favoured for having stats in all for areas or my Jester having a DEX build Iwould probrly continue training them. But since all I can aspire to is being level 60+ and that being a harder task than usual. I wouldn't bother ._.

I know people say that eles should either add a lot of int otherwise it's not worth it but have 61 int (62 with a ring) and 105 sta and I've got to say it's a pretty nice build. it's possible to do 3k+ damage, tank a few monsters and with an assist I can level like a mad man.

Though the reason why I say that strength shouldn't be a factor is because playing the game becomes a chore rather than a game. It's fun to take a couple of losses and maybe excel in some areas, that's why I made this post; sometimes the games real tiring and 1 dimensional when all of yiour actions are done in a conventional style, and why are you using this game to get recognition, it's only a game that might not even get played in the next few years, so just enjoy it for what it's worth.
Doppler, maybe you and I just see different strides for the game, but one reason why I wanna see someone try a build that's conventional, is to see them have the fun of trying and see how far they go; most of the players who posted on here so far seem to have no regrets with their off the road builds and I really glad to see that.
