Default Introduction

-This guide is basically COMPLETE-

Introduction

Well, hi there! Welcome to my Yoyo Acrobat guide.

I take it you want to try killing stuff with the fabled Yoyo. Whether you go Yoyo Jester like most of us, or want to try Yoyo Ranger just to be different, it doesn't matter. You'll have to go through Acrobat-hood either way. What's that? You don't want to use a bow to speed up the process? All the more power to you, my friend!- but that means you'll have more torment too. Which is why you're here. This guide will help you make it from level 15 to 60 by sharing with you good strategies, useful armor, deadly Yoyos, and much more.

A few more tidbits:

Prices for yoyos, armor, and some jewelery are located in the Equipment section. If you know of a price that needs to be added or updated, be sure to let me know!
Guide is written by me except where it says otherwise.
If there's something that you think should be added, please let me know.

Timeline:

8/11/2007: Guide created, adding information as I go
8/13/2007: Adding more information, following people's suggestions, now including images
8/14/2007: Tweaking a few things; adding some strategies involving the Toy of Iblis
8/16/2007: Aibatt prices added
8/18/2007: Adding more images, but lack of image alignment options makes TWA cry. :-(
9/2/2007: Adding Lawolf prices
9/9/2007: More info in the Builds and Skills sections.
12/26/2007: Apparently Miragle is called Miracle now. So I'm changing those bits of the guide.

Wow, great guide.
I am not giving it a rating until it is completely finished.
And jeez, 5.5M for a Cruiser suit? That's 15M less than what I had to pay!

I swear that they're that low on Glaphan! Clean, mind you. (I should probably specify.) Which cluster did you see that price on?

Cool guide.

And the guy who bought the suit for like 20m plays on Aibatt and that server's economy is fucked

I thought his/hers was geared more towards the Jester half of it. I'm trying to aim for the Acrobat half of it.

Counter deals a fixed amount of damage, and doesn't 'take the damage and deal more damage in return'. Good effort though.

Ah. Care to elaborate? I haven't really playing around with it enough yet (and it's no where near maxed).

It's just a move that deals fixed damage and stuns the opponent (provided the opponent is within Counter's range).

Press Counter -> Animation (Like squatting on a toilet bowl lol) -> Opponent hits -> Counter activates, hitting for fixed damage and stunning the opponent

Erm, clear enough, I hope? Oh yeah, as mentioned somewhere else before, be careful not to get knocked back as you press Counter, or you might get stuck in the animation (which a certain Fishie did to me >.>), and would have to relog.

EDIT: I just realised I wasn't being clear enough. =.= Anyway, I meant that regardless of the damage of the move being Countered, the damage you deal with Counter is the same.

Alright, thanks for the help!

I found some bugs

Quote:
Fast Walker: Great skill. It's very handy at times, but not necessary at all. Keep it at the minimum level, too.

Yoyo Mastery: At first it doesn;t do much, but later on it'll be a glorious thing to have. Max this one, but you don't have to do so right away.
The fast walker is not bolded; and
Yo-yo mastery said it needs to be maxed. WTF

I like my maxed Yoyo Mastery. Like I said, it doesn't do a whole lot when you're an acrobat, so it shouldn't be maxed right away. However, when you're a Jester it really makes a difference. Most people think it and the Bow Mastery are terrible because they're comparing them to the glitched Sword/Axe Masteries, which are insanely powerful (until v8, at least).

yeah later on you will deffinatly notice a difference in your damage between no Yoyo mastery and Max Yoyo mastery. When talking about yoyo's every little bit of constant damage helps.

I have to disagree with you on one account, the Wheel of Wheelem is worth the money if you can get it cheap. The 10% hit rate IS noticeable, big deal if it only has +3% to crit you know why its an underrated weapon? Because its another 10 levels before you get your hands on an NPC yoyo that does the base damage of the Wheel. If you +3 it the base damage jumps another 10 points, which will last you all the way to lvl 45 when you can decide if you want to use the Pulley of Clockwork. Which in my opinion is the one green that has the most useless stats on it.

Wheel of Wheelem 10% hit rate +3% critical
or
Pulley of Clockwork +3 attack +1% critical.

So just like the Wheelem, if you choose the Pulley you are doing so because of the higher base damage vs other yoyo's of that level.
