Well, the common CCTTG/PCTN (Cannot connect to the game, Please check the network) Message is happening a lot today, and before people ask WHY, Here goes.


1. Right after you get Disconnected (Where the message literaly comes up) In the field, you'll have to wait 10 seconds after you goto the login screen before logging in again. This is because it won't count down those 10 seconds on the field until AFTER you've logged out. In Towns, you can reconnect instantly.

2. Recently, The servers are kicking people off, And giving them this error, even after waiting 10 seconds, you'll just have to get it once and try again.

3. There actually may be something wrong with your network if the message pops up as you try to log in from the password screen. Check all Network adapters, cables, modems, and poles outside to make sure service is going to your computer.

That just about sums it up, Maybe we could make this a sticky?

I have tested it out and found something very interesting.

I experienced the same error 3 days ago after the patch, and has not been able to log in since then.

I disabled my Norton Anti-Virus (stupid yes, but no choice) and I found that I was able to log into the game.

Above link points to a solution to this problem. However, as the post states, it dosen't work for everyone, it didn't work for me.

If this continues, I'm left with no choice but to quit this game. Disabling Norton Anti-Virus just to play a game is not worth it.

Hmm, Whats your Comp Specs, maybe your computer cant handle running both at the same time.

Btw, I have no Anti-virus, and In fact, nothing else running but Winamp when this happens, But this happens everytime in the situations above.

My friend had a similar problem with norton. FlyFF wouldnt allow him to download the patches, saying that it couldnt connect to the server. He "claimed" that norton was switched off, so i spent 3 hours trying to fix the problem. Turns out norton wasnt turned off -.- So he uninstalled it and it works fine for him now apprently :|


Answer - Norton is evil! (though ive always known that...I hate it so much!)
