Default Playing FLYFF with a GC/PS2/Xbox(360)/PS3/GC/PCGamePad

Using Gamepad is just as good as the keyboard mouse set up with the exception of not being able to type letters ( however your keyboard will be close by so that's not an issue ) most of the time you spend in game should be done fighting anyway , that's why the gamepad comes into play. It's very ergonomic , console pads are designed for long periods of play most standard keyboards just aren't , this is great for hardcore players.

This method does not require modifcation of the nuez, flyff, gameguard or anything related to the game for that matter it is an external application which does not give the player any sort of advantage except playing with a game pad ( GM's , Mod's can check this if they desire )

Firstly you'll be needing a USB Adapter very cheap (don't spend anymore than $10, ?5 on one. Below are some sites where you'll be able to purchase an adapter however they are availible at a number of online stores.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_...ds=ps2+adapter

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...s2+usb+adapter

After buying the adapter for your control pad which should come with the correct software ( the software that comes with the adapter is not the one you will use for FLYFF however you do need to install it to callibrate your pads )

Next you'll need to download a program called pinnacle game profiler , it's the best program ever ( well probably not but it does the job ) You can either download the one I have uploaded from rapid share or from the orginal source

Rappid Share
http://rapidshare.com/files/33919715...e-setup_2_.exe

Soft3K
http://www.soft3k.com/download-Pinna...iler-d4105.htm

NOTE : DO NOT download the newest version of pinnacle of the official website as it is NOT compatible with FLYFF , gameguard detects it as a hack.

now that you've download and installed Pinnacle , open up the program and go through the configuration wizard it's very easy to use ( Msg me and i'll help you if you get stuck at all ) here are some images

EDIT : I've added configurations of my own however they may not be compatitble with you chosen gamepad, test them out

After that use Pinnacle to launch FLYFF and walla gamepad ownage .

I'll go into more detail if needs be however this guide should be noob friendly.

Wow. My RSI is really kicking in with a mouse, maybe I will try it.

So, is it hard to move the cursor around with a joystick? D:

Nice guide ^^

The only illegal part I can imagine is the keygen/serial aspect for buypassing the softwares 30 day trials, appart from that there are not gameguard conflicts hacking

AT ALL....

This guide is also the official flyff forums and the GM's/Moderators haven't seen any cause for concern with the guide.

It's easy to assign hotkeys there's a function that allows you to do this in pinnacle game profiler.

I can't remember exactly but you press a buton then the program waits for input , you press ALT+F4 for example and it registers it to the assigned button.

I can do a screenshot if you want.

One question...

Can you plug actual PS2, XBox, etc. controllers straight into the adapter? Or do you have to buy one of those replicas of game console controllers that are made for computers?

Also, I lied, I have another question.

For the PS2 style controller, do you have to use the D-Pad to move, or can you configure the joysticks to work in that way?

EDIT: Nevermind my second question, I see now in your screenshot that you configured the left one for movement and the right one for the mouse.

EDIT AGAIN: I just answered my first question by looking at the link for the adapter... I'm stupid. You can ignore anything above this. >.<

:O I can't wait! But it would be kinda hard to use the quick slot.. hrmm. I'd just map my most important F Buttons to the shoulder buttons on the controller? AND how would you change the view? I'm confuzzled. :[

You'd use the right anologue stick to control the left and rigtht arrow keys which would in turn rotate the camera from left to right.

you'd MAP the "F" buttons the the O,X,Traingle,Square buttons and the D Pad there are 8 buttons in total , perfect match.

The shoulder buttons are for Mouse clicks L1= Left Mouse R1= Right mouse.

The anologue stick is the mouse pointer.

Awesome!
I'll try to do this, since playing too much with the mouse mess with my right arm (sometimes it even hurts o.O).

Do you know if it works with ps1 controllers?
My ps2 controllers are always in use ¬¬

Yes if you can find a PS1 adapter then it will be compatible with pinnacle.
