~Character Classes and Types~

Have you asked yourself this question:
"What should my character be?"
Or this question:
"What is an aoe?"

This guide is all about clarrifying your questions about classes, or if you have problems choosing what class you want to be .

Before Level 15
You can only get your classed changed after level 15. Yes I know, leveling 1-15 takes SO LONG and it's SO BORING.
Below are a few things you can do to speed up this process:

• Hire a Power Leveler
• Put all your points to strength
• Fight in parties

Or anything else you can think of to relieve your boredom.

Before looking..
Here is a key just so you won't get confused:
INT=Intellect
STR=Strength
DEX=Dexterity
STA=Stamina
AoE=Area of effect - The ability to attack surrounding enemies at the same time with one hit.
KSer= Kill stealers - an AoE's worst enemy. They steal their monsters while AoE attacking.

Level 15
Congratulations, you finally turned Level 15. Give yourself a pat on the back *pat* *pat* .
Now, you have to choose what class you want to be. Instead of thinking of what you want to do now, think about what class type you would want to be later.
Such as a Magician turning into a Psykeeper or an Acrobat turning into a Ranger.
Below are a list of classes and class types you can be:

Magician
These characters use spells to attack the enemy. Their accuracy is 100%, they NEVER miss. The casting time of their spells
are very slow, and increasing dexterity won't make it any faster! They depend on the ever wonderful element rule (sarcasm).

Fire beats Air beats Earth beats Electricity beats Water beats Fire

Magicians use two weapons: Staves and Wands.
Staves have a faster casting time and inflict more damage to the enemy.
Wands are slow and weak, but they enable the player to use a shield, which is very helpful for users with low HP and Stamina.

Full INT (Full intellect)
Weapon: Wand
Difficulty: * * * *
2nd Class: Psykeeper

Full INT magicians place all of their skill points in INT (name gives it away). They usually die very easily, but they are one of the best players in
the Duel Arena. They use shields for defense, and they save a lot of money on mp potions.

Recommended for: People with enough money to buy extra food and people who have enough patience (because you WILL die..a lot..).

Crucio Psy
Weapon: Wand
Difficulty: * * *
2nd Class: Psykeeper

If you can't afford a restat right now, don't worry about it. When you are in the higher levels (40-60), you will find MANY good drops. Just save 1/5 of all your money for a restat. For right now, I recommend that you become a FULL INT magician or a Balanced.
Crucio Psy requires a lot of stamina so it can inflict a lot of damage. After gaining level 60 and restating your character, place ALL of your skill points to STA or Stamina.
The Crucio Spell is a very strong reflect attack, and it can inflict up to 2X the damage if mastered.

Crucio Spell (from flyffworld):
Self-cast status giving you a chance of reflecting physical attacks for double the damage. Double damage only applies if skill is maxed

Recommended for..erg NOT recommended for: People who LOVE spending (i.e. they can't save money).

Balanced Magician
Weapon: Staff or Wand
Difficulty: *
2nd Class: Psykeeper or Elementor

These magicians train Stamina and Intellect. They keep these two attributes very steady (INT always higher of course), and they are of medium-high strength.
They don't spend as much money on food and refreshers. These kinds of magicians are best used for fighting monsters and Npc's.

Recommended for: Anyone!

Area of Effect Magicians
Weapon: Depends on Class
Difficulty: * * *
2nd Class: Depends :P

AOE Magicians are very strong, but they require a lot of stamina to survive all those hits they have to endure.
An Area of Effect Psykeeper requires a restat after level 60. Unless you are willing to go full Stamina the whole 60 levels!
An Area of Effect Elementor needs a base of 30-50 Int, and keep the rest of the skill points for stamina.

If you are becoming an Area of Effect Psykeeper, you will be using mostly Maximum Crisis and Psychic Square:

Maximum Crisis (from flyffworld):
A short-ranged AoE with you as the origin of the area damage
Psychic Square (from flyffworld):
Another AoE attack with the origin at your target. Has a 10 second cooldown

If you are becoming an Area of Effect Elementer, you will be using ALL the spells, so train them good!
Here is a list and their definitions

Recommended for: AoE lovers, people who don't like the duel arena, people with a good graphic card! There will be a lot of lagging! (unless you turn off the Special FX)

Strength Magician
Weapon: Staff
Difficulty: ???
2nd Class: ???

"Strength Magician??? Are you crazy???"
Yes, I am crazy
This build is a bit weird, but you can try it out if you like.
Some people say magicians have very high hit rates. Some people say their staff hits never miss.
Basicly, you are training Strength and Stamina, but no Intelligence..
A mercenary in a magicians body you can say.

Recommended for: People that are bored and want to try something new!

(note: Strength Magician under HEAVY construction. If you are willing to help me make this build please PM me.)

Assist
People with the power to heal and cause major damage. Assists are different from all the other classes because they are very diverse. They can be healers and buffers, or AoE-ers and Battlers.

Assists use two kinds of weapons: Sticks and Knuckles.
These weapons are completely opposite in terms of the skills they can do.
Sticks heal and buff, and Knuckles inflict damage to their opponent.
Knuckles attack faster than sticks, and they enable the player to use shields. Sticks aren't very strong, but it's a good idea to have one with you.

Dexterity Assist
Weapon: Knuckle
Difficulty: * * *
2nd Class: Billposter

These characters are one of the fastest attacking players in flyff. Although, they do not inflict as much damage, usually resulting to not being one of the best players in the Duel Area. Although, if the critical rate is high enough, they can be one of the best players around.
Basicly, a dex assist trains both strength and dex (of course, mostly dexterity). Some dex assists choose to go full dex. They attack faster, but the damage isn't so high.

If you plan on going Dex Assist, make sure you train your buffs, especially cannonball, haste, and beef up. This will make the difference between hitting 20s and 120s.

Recommended for: People who rely on speed and accuracy, rather than power and damage.

Area of Effect Assist
Weapon: Knuckle
Difficulty: * * *
2nd Class: Billposter

These characters are effective after level 28, to the fact you have the new skill Burst Crack.

Burst Crack (from flyffworld):
Assist AoE skill. Smashes the ground and inflicts damage to the sorrounding area

These players level very fast, and they require a lot of stamina to survive, otherwise they will have to depend on healers. They also save a bit of their skill points for strength.

Don't be suprised if you seem to experience people stealing your monsters. These people are called KSers, one of the many hated players in flyff.
Also, make sure you train your buffs well. Especially Heap up, Patience, and Beef up.

Recommended for: Anyone!

Elementers usually don't go full int... they're an AoE type and therefore needs Sta. Elementers use a Staff.

Psykeepers restat to Crucio, and that is a major factor. Also, it's full sta for Crucio Psy. Any int will be useless as one. You usually start off with an int MAGICIAN then restat to a Full Sta Crucio Psykeeper. Psykeepers use a Wand.

There are many ways to build a Magician to get ready for the 2nd class. But you can't build a strong crucio Psykeeper from scratch, you must restat. And usually before a crucio psy, you are an Int Magician. Same goes for Full Int PSYKEEPERS too, they're usually restated back due to the extra 20 or so points in Sta which they don't need after obtaining Satanology. But, you can build Ele's from scratch as they need base of about 30-50 or so int, then the rest on sta. And other ways of making an Ele are experiments. Usually everyone goes AoE.

EDIT: You should apply for the guide and then post it in the FlyffWorld United section. And a few guides have your implemented information if you wish to correct your data. (Btw, even if unfinished, you can place your guide in FlyffWorld United too, you just have to apply.

EDIT EDIT: Don't get me wrong though, it's an alright guide, except some facts of your builds etc are incorrect.

dex and str vagrants lvl the fastest 1:1 ratio

ummm...

phys uses wand and eles uses staff

eles need more sta than int and phys needs more int than sta.

you got it switched around xD

from expirence staff does about 100 more damage or so this is comparing weapons of the same lvl and same + or what ever.

I don't like this part. Not all AOEers go BP.

I'm an AOEer/Support Hybrid going for RM. High Sta, and high Int. Gonna use BC till 80 (And also party 50/50), then Restat into more Int and use Merkaba afterwards.

Overall, the guide is good. Keep going and taking feedback form people. This could be the best "complete build" guide of all.

All of mine have been this type, and I can say it worked out well for me. Except that I had to add one point to Sta at lvl 15, on my second one, just so I could use all the skills in the Action Slot. I would kill enemies so fast (even with misses), I never used pots and they would die before I did.

You also gotta take into account that there ARE people who go Battle RM from the get-go (1st job)

Thank you very the thoughtful message.
For the AoE assist, I am not saying that all AoE-ers turn to bp. I am just taking the majority of the people. I am going to put battle RM for second class list..whew, this guide is going to be a LONG one.
