Dropping Plugs+9.
A guide made by Woxxy.

Addition: now the guide is about plugs+9, but this doesn't change almost anything. There's now a paragraph about new weapons.

In few words...

It's all random. Killing speed doesn't matter. You just have to spend a lot of time on it. I spent a solid week doing this and I came out with an average of 2 plugs a day. Some days I got none and on a good day I got 4. Sometimes I kill 5 and 1 will drop. Other times I didn't get anything for 8 hours (over 2 days). From what I've found though, on average one drops every 2-3 hours. If you're not serious about investing a lot of time into this then I suggest you don't do it. If you're just gonna try for 30min-1hr, get bored and then complain about not getting anything, then don't waste your time and just keep leveling.

Nah, I'm fine with it ^__^ I mean, with the time spent on it. I plan to do it every day for two or three hours, maybe more if I'm bored with my high level chars. But it was kinda weird that nothing droped in first 15 hours of playing (3 hours one day and then 12 hours the next day; which was all free time that I had that day so I kinda spent it entirely on plug hunting :/) and my friends started making suggestions that it can be affected by something maybe. Such as the killing speed or maybe something else. It's good to know that the killing speed has nothing to do with it, but it's awful to know that your luck is so miserable that you got one plug after almost 16-17 hours of hunting. Which means that if I kill around 30 of them in an hour, I had to kill around 480-510 of them to get one :/ And the usual rate is 250 of them to get one? Well, yeah :/ Bad luck. I hope that was just a temporary bad luck and that I'll get more of them sooner than that. Because it's frustrating to dedicate your entire day just to plug hunt and get nothing And I am usually a patient person XD

thanks for answering!

Wow, I must have got lucky.

My Mercenary is at lvl 49 so I gave this a try. Got nothing for 2 hours, then got a plug and a demol within about 5 minutes. Got another plug about a half hour after that. I think I may have been killing 50-55 per hour with fly time between them and pausing for buffs.

Now watch me not get another one for a week.

I'm a lvl 49 Magician, 36 STA rest (112) INT.
Full Teba +5, Branch of Rhisis +7, Avalon +3

I'm hitting for only 570, and I get hit for 70, crit @ 250.

My Attackspeed is 37% and my Flying Level is 28...

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing...mages are only good for remarking when you have lags lol. I`ve experienced it too, Blades (mercenaries) are better as long as you have the very basic items required (regular CW jewels etc).

Ok..

So I've been hunting for hours, got myself 2 plugs. Now I'm just checking some shops, and I see plugs for only 800k! Is that really a normal price (Lawolf) ? Because that's definitely not worth hours of hunting...

Look closer, those are most likely the clean plugs (the DEF+44 ones). Anyone selling a +9 plug for that is crazy.... buy it quick!

On Kern, I'm seeing plug +3's for 2-5 mil, and the +9's for anywhere from 50 to 140 mil. Of course, that's just what people are asking for the in their shops. I'm not sure what the actual "market value" for them is, yet. Still trying to get a feel for prices in this game.

Well, since Kern is probably capped with some nubs, i`d say that:
50M=the real price/5m more than the real price
140M=some nub who just decided to overprice and check out if anyone will buy it thinking it says "14m".

then what did he mean by "We're now able to use strentes+1 and mighteers+1 (called now vigors+9 and demol+12) and get a dretra sword to be reduced, getting way higher damage and aspd.
Awakenings can help too, but I suggest to just use normal green equip."?

Scroll of Reduction A is a CS item that lowers the requirement by 10. So you could use Dretras at lvl 50. I think that's overkill, personally, but some people like moa powah nao.

My merc's at lvl 51. She's using a Stitch set +3 (no awakenings), a Sword of Silver Sword with +3 Earth, two Arek +4 rings, a Plug +9 earring, and a Demol +12 earring. DEX and STA are capped at 40, rest STR. With the Pang buffs available until lvl 60, now, I hit for a little over 1,000. Takes 30 seconds or less to kill a Capt. Rockepeller. They hit for around 40 damage and I hardly ever use food.

I've gotten 9 plugs so far and I haven't been devoting that much time to this... a couple hours here and there (I have 4 other characters I'm working on). As it's been said before, it's totally random. Sometimes I grind on them for 2 hours or more before getting one. Two days ago, I got one in the first 5 minutes, then nothing for the next 2 hours.
