A guide made by Woxxy.

Addition: now the guide is about plugs+9, but this doesn't change almost anything. There's now a paragraph about new weapons.

In few words...

Now my question is, although mages and merc's are recommened for this, what is the killing capacity of the Assist?
Sure I think a 1v1 build (maybe cookie cutter) with around 80%-100% aspeed (depending on set and awakens) with nice buffs, say RM ones.
Maybe work out just as well and if not, better?

As long as you are level 48-52 with a lvl 45 green set (no +s needed), you'll do fine with any class. After you equip your first and second plug, they can hardly damage you. Note that unless your buffs last 10+ minutes, it might not be worth casting them at all (have to lan frequently), which is why merc is so great (master sword or axe buffs last 10 and 20 minutes). I use the level 45 merc set (just +3 on suit because I bought it that way), no earth element cards inserted, a SoSS+3, against no earth element, a Vortex shield with +9% crit, and my own 2 sword buffs. Base STA is 15, total defense (with 2 +9s) is around 530 (at lvl 51). Captains hit for 40-42 with crits around 48-55.

With a kill speed around mine (I hit them for 920-925 @ 76% attack speed), you can expect 1 drop per hour, along with the usual smattering of Demol +3s, cards, set pieces (they like dropping Flury/Wedge pieces) and foods. My best hour so far was 5 plugs + a few demols.

5 plugs and hour? That must've been some hardcore grinding.

Are drop rates affected if my hunter is level 51, 52? Because I don't want to delevel.

I have full STR assist. I have good accuracy and do 1041 ish damage per hit. Atk speed says 77% but its way slow when I attack in mid air. Is it normal to attack slower while flying?

*EDIT*
Also, I have been there for 6 hours, 1 demol and 1 sunstone is all I have.....whats going on?

**EDIT**
ROFL, after 6 hours it finally dropped one...and then.....right after, another one so thats 1plug for each 3 hours now!

Well that`s because there`s a little thing happens when you`re over-excited to get *insert whatever you can think about*.
0.4% means you need to kill AT LEAST 250 Captains to 100% get a plug (and even that is not 100% lol, it might take more and might take less, a lot less), now see how long it takes you to kill 1 and imagine 250 of those...

Not good =[
This is only lvl 45~50 to fight flying to drop plug earring+9.
If u are lvl 56 to go fight flying so you will get plug earring+9 long time (Hard)

Okay, I don't know if this was asked already, but I am not in the mood to read all 23 pages, so

anyway, I have a lvl 48 mage now, she's going to be an ele one day so she is not full int, but with more sta (with equips and buffs she is 110 sta and 72 int). I've been plug hunting for the last 24 hours and nothing dropped. and I know that they drop since I got one a month ago with my merc but I didn't want to stall my merc's leveling so I didn't hunt more. and one of my friend got three of them, while the other one got six. the point is that with 72 int I kill kinda slow (about 2 minutes). so the question is; does the killing speed affect the drop rate? because if it does, I'll be better of making a new char just for plug hunt and leave the poor ele wannabe to level

anyone knows about this issue? are 2 minutes too long to kill them so they won't drop plug+9? I already got demol +3, two moons, a lot of cards and cruiser gaunt. so am I just terribly unlucky or they won't drop plug if I kill them for two minutes?

oh and my other friend has a str/dex merc and he hits them around 900-1k, but in six hours of plugging, he didn't get any. is he terribly unlucky too? :3

EDIT: okay, I just got one :3 still, it took a while, so I'm still wondering if the killing time has any efect
