Hi i'm making a new character and i decided to make a blade in the long run and i had questions on what my build should be before and after i become a blade...i have looked around but it is very confusing on which to choose and i also see many comments on specifics on what is intended so: i am gong to be a Blade; use Swords; and i'm going to be solo...ty for responding and i hope you can give me the stat and skill build tyvm

from lvl 1-60 u will use sword for faster lvling
at lvl 75 u will use axe until lvl 105.

if you're not rich and can't afford to buy dretras at lvl 60 and then a +6 Einy/Akan set at lvl 75, you might want to think about adding more dex the your build for hit rate

for people who are making a blade as their first chars, XXX str, 40 sta, 70 dex is a good starters build, by lvl 90 you should be able to have gianted/merchanted to make enough peyna to afford a restat or you can get your +8 set and Angel Axes and wait until lvl 105 to farm the giant shuhamma to make peyna for a restat to go with no dex and XXX str 40 sta or full str if you wish

Is there any speedbreak I haven`t known for BLADES at 43 DEX?

Do it, you'll love it...
never get hit and never need a RM!
besides you'll hit 100% of the time, your probability of deathblow is increased (won't hit you from knockback) you have a huge dodge and evasion and from the stam your defense increases.

For gianting it may take longer, but you can do that shiit solo! no shareing loots!

the speed break for swords is actually at 60, so with 40 base and max cannonball, you'll hit the speed break for swords only

for axes it's at 73, so base 53 is where you'd want to be

As for the dex build posted by blahchuck...that's typically an AOE build and not a 1v1 build simply because all the blade skills are dex based for atk...so if you want your blade to be spamming blade skills, then yeah, go for his build, but if you want your blade to just attack and use the self-buffs, then that's not a very good build for you

all depends on what you want, and judging by the title of your thread, it seems to me that you want a 1v1 build...in that case XXX str, 30~40 sta, 50~80 dex ( your preference, mainly for hit rate as you should be lvling with an FS assist or a BP partner)

did you even read the guide at all?

the builds take into account that you'll have max cannonball cast...so you can hit the aspd breakpoints with those builds

Yes? Cannonball = +20 DEX.

So it actually makes sense to add either 33 base DEX for axes or 20/47 base DEX for swords (most people use the 67 sword speedbreak), because you know... the 20 DEX from cannon gets added to your base DEX.

So yeah, what you said;

is wrong.

You have to add the +20 DEX from cannon to your base DEX to actually hit a speedbreak, not add the +20 DEX to an existing speedbreak.

im also wondering how a lvl 61 blade with recorn +5 set and 2 gaxes+3 can kill almost instantly.....he plvld me yesterday and noww im thinking of creatigna new blade to go for his build i meant to ask hiim but i didnt wanna stop and make him type as it was 2-3 hits then the monster was dead.......he was in the flaris tower.... if that helps any...

The most dex you'll need on any 1v1 blade is 53. Sta you can go without, it's really personal preference.
