Dear FlyFF Fans,

On September 23, 2008, Lawolf and Demian were rolled back two days for an emergency maintenance. This was necessary because we were experiencing unauthorized access to the game.

Unfortunately, the damage to the game occurred over a 2-day period; therefore, we had to rollback those servers a few days.

We are extremely sorry that this occurred, and we sincerely apologize to all users who were affected negatively due to these circumstances. We do value our community's support and are trying our best to maintain a consistent and fun environment for everyone.

As always, we are planning to make this up to you with some kind of “FlyFF Fan Appreciation” event. Once everything is approved and finalized we will let you all know what will be happening.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize if this rollback affected you. We look forward to serving you all to the utmost of our abilites.

Ive been playing this for maybe 5-6months now and it seems to me that these "problems" have been happening more often now as we come up to getting version 12, now its either a lame way of making us want version 12 more or they aren't really minding the current version because they are so confident of this new version that they feel they the version we are still playing doesn't matter any more.

And another thing all the events that are meant to make up for all this crap happening are lame... oooo event sunstones.... wow 1.5exp. how about something useful to us like free green suits, or a level boost or even dare I say it Free Gpots!!!! I don't mean like a lot i just mean enough to buy a few small things so maybe 1,500-2,000 now that would make US very happy

So people at gpotato you better read this, people will like you a lot more if you did something like i have suggested.

Could say the same about cw too? Invasions are organized by the GMs, and approved by their higher ups. From what I've heard the cause of the rollback was due to more hacking mischief. The rollback, as unfortunate and severe as it was, had to be done, as the GMs repeatedly say over and over. Rollbacks are in no way in the best interest of the GMs or Gala-net, as all it does is make people angry. There is no spinoff revenue as a result of a rollback as all CS items lost are returned to the players with no further cost.

If the rollback really was due to some group of hackers, well that's pretty unfortunate. It's not like they're gaining anything from doing this, it's just for kicks for them.

"emergency maintenance" means something really major happened that they have to fix NOW. Something like a RAID array becoming corrupt or the AC in a server room going down causing massive overheating might be some examples. I don't think it's reasonable for a Free2Play MMORPG with a buy-if-you-want cash shop to give away free money.

Seriously, it was two days. Take a deep breath and realize there's more to life than flyff.
