But my guess is, the server was crowded. Since it'd worked fine for MagnaRa before - so hardware's sort of excluded.

In this case, there's not much you can do, lag is on their side, not yours.
THAT ONE!

except i can move around and stuff and attack thing but no damage goes up and the monster stays there and does it's thing.

So, it's server based then?

Oh yea, that's server based.
This happens to me if like, I teleport somewhere extremely crowded, and I should be D/C'ed but I manage to get in. Then I can't talk or anything mentioned above. The best solution is to log off and maybe take a bit of a break just in case your comp. might be at some fault. 512 is a little low for sure, and having a few other programs can cause it to slow down quite a bit.

Well using just the minimum wont always do well. And it could also be that your graphics card isn't working as well as it could or that it just isn't new enough to support it... either way, adding RAM will get rid of lag for sure, but a bad graphics card will screw your game up no matter what.

I don't really know how much the graphics card can effect the game though. I just know that if it sucks enough, everything will be black and white, and some lag issues may develop.
