REGISTER TO REMOVE THIS AD

My friends making an FS to support my aoe axe knight-to-be merc. Is a maxed haste needed at all considering the knights gonna just be spamming for eternity? x_x; I was thinking of a maxed quickstep for faster gathering. Does the 25aspd help in anyway?

Not sure if this should go here of the merc section... >_>

QS is awesome for gathering - I don't think he needs to worry about haste all that much.

question pertains to your assist and what skill to get, it goes here.

helps gathering yes, it may help others gather faster or 1v1 classes move from one monster to next, but it does not help 1v1 fighters Actually be better, jsut faster.... It doesn't effect how well or fast they will kill like haste will, but going to next monster will help slightly with going faster. Just only thing is, This Knight always going Ditch a rm or fs for you, and level you? or you going be on when hes not and need a plevel? then might wanna get Haste instead for 1v1 fighters, OR get quickstep for your friend or what ever, and then just try to get AOE partners and mention you have quickstep what ever level and that will help you be an AOE FS, and find partners more easily then splitting between haste and quickstep.

Err...he's actually my real life friend. We don't plan on partnering with anyone other than each other as we're just sharing the FS/knight for fun when taking a break from our mains.

I'm guessing that haste/accuracy won't be set high on priority for my case

You may want to sacrifice cannonball or accuracy for haste, since even a miss or block will get the mobs following the knight. I think you'll still have enough points to max the important rm skills that way and work for getting Heal Rain (not circle heal) which demands a lv. 4 on pretty much every skill on the upper branch.

Well, I guess the skills I'm looking at are quickstep/accuracy/cannon/haste. I assume that quickstep+cannon would be most useful. I just wanted to make sure that haste isn't a necessity for an aoe knight.

Does haste make you finish your swing faster so you can keep going o_O? I was thinking that cannon would add a bit of dex for block or something.

Haste is godly for gathering; it finishes your attack faster so you can go to the next mob that much faster, and it adds up over time-nothing game breaking, but it's at least useful, unlike Accuracy. Accuracy will NOT help you in any significant way. Even if you plan on using it to try to keep your mobs at equal health, Swordcross will be killing them an uneven speeds anyway. That one hit during gathering just doesn't matter.

Cannon is nice for the block rate. Every little bit of defensive ability helps. So basically your list looks good, just ditch that accuracy ASAP and get Haste instead.

Haha, I've said so much I've probably confused you all. Accuracy's already ditched xD. But from what I'm looking at for the amount of skill points for a lvl75RM, I'll have to choose to focus on cannon first or haste. I'm just not really sure whether blockrate outweighs the faster attacks for gathering from haste or vice versa.

Your knight friend will receive next to minimum damage anyway because of their defense, I don't assume blocks will help much, there; so better for them to finish their gathering faster.
