no, you have to download a separate client for the open beta

It's funny how they honestly think most of the players will be playing this for the purpose of actually testing it.

We all know at least 60% of the people are playing it just to pretend they're l33t by getting high leveled for all of a few days.

I mean... technically... wouldn't it just be easier if all beta characters could just choose their own level? .____. Y'know, making the testing a crap load easier.

As much as I agree with this, it strips a little from the whole 'test' aspect. You can't test the game if you don't play the leveling aspect of the game, who knows, they may have bugged a certain mob *Cough Steel Knights* *Cough Black Otems* *Cough Mutant Yettis* *Cough Luias* or rendered a quest impossible to complete due to changes in the programme. The 20x exp is there to streamline this testing and still ensure that people manage to level to 120 in time for the Open Beta to not take more than a few weeks to complete. Hell, doesn't it normally take 5+ months or so to hit 120.. 5 months of OB for temporary characters...no thx

Edit: If I'm gonna play it, it's gonna be to make me an AoE BP/RM to test how they are 8D. Testing has never been my 'cup of tea' and abusing glitches will no doubt come back to bite me in the ass.

Last Beta I made an AOE BP that was lvl 65 still lvling at Drillers I think I'll just make a new 1v1 BP and see if I can't transfer the items from the old character over.

I'm sure that's part of the purpose of the beta. All new features are to be tested and weighted before being released in the final stage.

But anywho, it's easier to just treat the beta server as a new server, just like all the others we have, only with diff. settings. (aka exp/drops and v12 stuff on it)

Personally, I'd like to test its features before I venture with them in the full version, (much like my first attempt to make a green weapon, ending up with my surprise of its failure) though I'm caught with a lot of time-taking business till the 21st, which ultimately makes it hard for me to be on for as long as I'd like.
