Effing ridiculous DC's and Overheating problems T_T -

Alright, so usually I play flyff with a computer and a laptop. Lately I've been experiencing problems with going into Darken City on my PC. I thought it was just lag, as usually what happens is if I leave a character in Darken City, log out, and try to log the same character into S1, it'll D/C me right before I actually log into the game world. As in my PC will take forever from the Character Server to get in game, and right when I get in game, I get lagged out and D/C. It doesn't happen anywhere else in the world, just in Darken.
Of course I know that it might be a problem on my side, since Darken is the most populated city on Lawolf. But today I believe something is actually wrong: I left my BJ in Darken City, and when I logged into S2's Darken City, it was fine. There were only at most a dozen player hanging out at S2 Darken City when I logged in. I ONLY SAW EFFING 4 VENDORS IN DARKEN CITY ON S2 (I capped this part cuz it's very important later). So I log out, thinking that I could try my luck again with S1, no dice, it D/C's me right when I'm about to get in game, so I was like "Ok fuk this, I'll just AFK vend in S2 Darken City." Surprise, surprise: EFFING GAME D/C'D ME WHEN THERE WERE STILL ONLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THERE (I know this cuz I got a peek just before I d/c'd. SAME VENDORS, relatively the same amount of people.) I even turned off "show my/others/npc's names", effects and GFX, and display damage. Still can't connect if I have a character in Darken.
Now I seem to have trouble logging on my BJ at all. Usually when I can't log into a character that's in Darken City, I log into S4, move the character to Flaris/SM, and log out to log back in on another server. Today it seemed as if I can't get on my BJ at all. It just d/c's me no matter which server I went on.
My PC has never had a problem like this before.
Now my laptop also has some sort of odd condition too: it seems like it's overheating a lot faster than it used to. Like right now, I've only turned on my laptop about 50 minutes ago, and it's starting to get really hot already.
My laptop has also been running Flyff rather poorly recently as well. Usually when I play on my laptop, it'll get some occasional lag spike and skip some frames, but that's understandable since this is an old laptop with rather poor graphix card. But lately when I play Flyff on it it's always really slow, with only short moments of smoothness. Basically, the situation has reversed: instead of occasional lag spikes, I get occasional smoothness spikes and the rest of the time is just utter horrid slowness.
To recap, my problems are as follows:
1) PC is slow as hell in terms of connection, it seems. If a character of mine is in Darken City, the chances of being able to connect onto the character and play the character is slim. Can't even connect to S4's Darken City unless I get lucky. WTH is up with that.
2) Laptop's overheating more quickly than normal. I always put my laptop to Standby whenever I'm leaving for more than 30 minutes too, so there's should be no reason of "residual heat".
3) When playing Flyff on Laptop, I get smoothness spikes instead of lag spikes, as the game mostly runs in slow motion with occasional smooth moments.
Anyone can give me any tips? I think this started only this week >_< I can't seem to figure out what's wrong with it either, since I don't do much besides surfing the internet and play flyff on my PC and Laptop. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary lately, so I don't understand what could be causing it ;-;
