After seeing the sucess of the elementer thread and the fact the Merc Q&A sticky is dead.
I've decided to offer my services to give the people who use FlyffWorld as much support with there mercs as possible.
If you need any advice from a blade who has done it all then please feel free to ask questions about builds, skills trees and anything else you might want to know.
This is a open help thread, so everyone can help out each other.
Edit: FAQ's
Whats the best build to use for 1v1?
I personaly went for:
Str- xxx
Sta- 40
Dex- 80
Int- 15
Then at 92+ (when you hit glaphs) go to a near full str build.
-----------------------
But that build there is long out of date.
What i would sugest to blades now adays, is to go for the following:
Str-xxx
Sta-30
Dex-53
Int-15
You have such a big advantage these days due to you being able to awaken all youre set. You need to use this to youre advantage. You can gain alot of what you need from just awakening so dont be afraid to awaken your items.
Whats the best build to use for aoe?
Imo i think the best build for aoe is pure dex. This is due to blades having one of the highest block rates in the game.
Str - 15
Sta- 15
Dex - xxx
Int - 15
But if you feel that you want to have a little hp just to make sure you dont die, you can add a little STA (maybe like 30).
Now adays with a red scroll and link attack, you will be able to pretty much out dmg all other aoe classes.
At 118-M this was my dmg:

I managed to get it up to 20k aoe's by the time i reached 120.
When i go in the mines whats the minimum set +'age i should have?
When i first went to the mines i was wearing a +5 Einy set (awkening didnt exist) and 2 +6 H.axe's. I seemed to level there really fast and was out of there in about 1 week. With awakes now its going to be even easyer to do well in the mines.
Set wise: i would do this:
Recorn->Einy(optional)->Dayst->Blain(pvp set)
I know what some people are thinking...'Why would you go to the mines and not straight to azria?'
Well you will find that once you get in to the mines you will gain a tad bit more exp than you would in azria.
I would sugest you go: Azria->Mines->Azria->Tower.
What skills should i max?
The following should be maxxed. Sneeker should stay lvl 19 as it has more of a sucess rate.
When can i farm Clockworks?
I would say that you should be able to start farming CW at about Level 95 but only if you have youreself at least a +8 dayst set and reduced LGA's.
CW will be max critting you for about 8k in rage. So you should have enough HP to be able to with stand the crits.
Let me tell you though, Clockwork'ing isnt fun. Sure the first few are exciting to do but after a while you will find that CWing is just a massive hassle. You got to worry about; Making a guild, 3m. Buying a Gift Box party, 4m. Then waiting to get in to the room. For me, i prefer to be in guild with all my friends.

I'd offer my knight advice, but I've no doubt there are other members of this site better suited than I. Maybe contact Thantos or one of the others to take up the other side of the Merc tree?

Here's a question that may seem kind of strange. I've been considering going to a different server to create a new character, who would be a blade. My question is this; is there a noticable difference in the cost/availabilty of specialty armors depending on which gender I choose?

Heheh.
On Lawolf...well, I've seen Einy suits (lv75 male) sell for 30m+, while Akan suits (lv75 female) seem to go for half that or less (mine was 6m, and I've seen 10m as well). But perhaps this has something to do with female CW set?

Thanks - good to know, especially as Lawolf was the server I was thinking of creating the new character. Time for some good old fashion crossdressing!

Sounds right to me, I sold my akan set for 9m (suit) and 800k for the rest of the parts but it does seem to vary.

fem chars are way cheaper, especially for blades....just unbelievably cheaper
tho obviously still have to pay for weapons, so its still an expensive character
