No not the sport boxing!
Disclaimer: Unfortunately this method is only legal with 2 computers. This means that in order to play 2 characters with 2 accounts you need 2 COMPUTERS. I will not be discussing ways around that.

I didn't bother to read this HUGE amount of text, but it just seems a general guide about (playing) flyff.

A Guide?
To Duo Boxing?
Wtf?
1) Install flyff on two comps
2) Run both flyffs on different accounts
3) Do whatever the hell you want in FlyFF now.
There, I condensed it.
Edit: Bad title for the guide... the guide has some good info... but completely unrelated.

^^ Yea, the duo boxing sounded kinda funny. I thought this guide had something to do with pvp or something. The guide itself is okay, but it's something most people already know how to do.

seems to be a good guide.
ive been doing that for a year now, with different pairings and sometimes even with three computers. never considered a guide for this matter to be necessary... :0

I have to say...this guide is completely useless. Anyone who has two computers should be intelligent enough to be able to figure out how to use two characters at once. And just for your information, the correct term is dual-boxing, not duo boxing.

This method is legal, dual clienting isn't. Says so in the FlyFF official forums. They say directly that players are more than welcome to use two computers to play on different characters at the same time, but may not use dual clients because it violates the ToS.

The purpose of this guide was to help out the new folks. Obviously veterans of the game have either done this already (and know how to do it) or know everything about the game that they don't need to do this. This was geared towards the folks NEW to the game, pretty much just starting out. It's easier to start from scratch with 2 characters than 1, thus the reason for this "guide".
The intro sections (basically first 3 pages) is what it is labeled as, an intro. It's purpose is to explain what it is, for the folks that don't know what it is. If you are already aware of how to do this, you probably don't need to read that section. There is some useful info in the tips and tricks / faq section that you may not have known about.
Well for whatever you take it as, it is simply a guide for folks that are unaware of duo boxing (or dual boxing). I use to do this in a game called EQ, but it was called 2boxing. I also get /says in game asking me if the RM next to me is the same person or not. Also if you note, I mention nothing about dual clienting. Using 2 computers is a perfectly legal part of the game and I don't even mention the other option.
I also don't think its something generally known about the game, such as S1 is the trade server. I see a countless number of people spaming the shout channel looking for a partner or FS Assist/RM. I figure if EVERYONE did this, there would be no such shouts. I have hunted in certain spots and heard the same people screaming for a partner. I figure if they made 2nd character, then they wouldn't have this issue.

Being a veteran or not has nothing to do with it. It's common sense to use two computers to log in to different accounts if you have the means to. And if you aren't intelligent enough to figure it out, then you PROBABLY shouldn't be using a computer in the first place.
A lot of people don't have two computers to do this with, or they don't want to make an RM. That's why you see people shouting for FS/RM partners. |

That's when you point them in the right direction or to a guide. As far as I know, I didn't see a guide for this. It may seem trivial to some people, but you never know if it's helpful to others. I guess you can't please everyone. . . |
