Dr0's Complete Knight Guide
Version 1
Written By: Dr0

What it means to be a Knight - Knights focus on defense and power over speed. They have the ability to wield the most powerful, yet slowest weapons in the game, as well as the most protective armors (the lack of a shield is made up for by their armors' heavy defense.) In general, Knights are more efficient than other classes at making use of their Area of effect (AoE) skills, as they can take many more monsters at a time due to their naturally high defense. Knights are usually considered the tank characters.Knights receive a greater HP bonus for each point of stamina than any other class in the game. Another less common form of knights are the One vs One knights, whom use mostly swords or in some cases axes (2 Handed) just like any other class.

This Guide Mainly Consists of How To Develop Your Knight from Step One, but also shares some extra content as well, which leads me to the Index of the guide:

General Guidelines and Notes for the Guide:

If you are having trouble understanding the difference between the Restat/Non-Restat builds seeing as how many people take the plvling route, if you take the power leveling route simply follow the build for a Non-Restat knight as discussed in the guide.

Have fun and good luck,

and Welcome to Flyff as a Knight~

Update 11/1/07: Really Appreciate the feedback guys, thanks for the support and opinions you have been giving me with the guides.

Update 11/3/07: Once again, thanks for the support, i got some new skill GIF's in the skill section, they may be a bit laggy at first, but they'll be fine after a few seconds. (I'll try to find a program to make them clearer)

Update 4/30/08: Sorry It's taken me so long to do this, but I've finally added updated v11 Sections and simple PVP guides, if you wish for me to go in detail with the PVP Guides, send me a message and i'll be sure to include them in the guide.

Nice guide with great content!

Only thing I can really give a little comment on is the setting out. Currently, it seems a bit cluttered. You should try separating the parts into different pages. Also, bolding/making the titles bigger would also help. As well as this, I think after the parts, you should state that this 'part' covers. This would help navigating much more easily ^^

But formatting is not the most important xD and you're probably going to do that anyway. Great guide and I'll be waiting to see the updates of pictures etc.!

The guide is great except for one detail. You keep saying knights are the best AOErs xD
lol first of all knights need highly elemented suits and weaps to AOE decently and theyve got quite low damage so they kill slow.Unlike elementors, their gear is cheap and they deal massive damage even being mostly sta build.Who cares if elems take abit less mobs per AOE then a knight but we kill them way faster and our exp per hour is bigger then a knights.

Still, I am agreeing with Jocker, AOER's do need good Eq's, *elemented* Otherwise they get owned in AoE.

All classes need good eq to level efficiently, nowadays AoEr's level faster than 1v1's at good spawns. Only class i believe that can rip without good eq would be crucio psys/ele's and blades at 105.

Sorry if i gave off the wrong impression, was trying to state that it can be considered one of the most used and effective aoeing skills, I'll try to edit those parts to be more clear about what i mean when i say "One of the Best", sorry for the confusion ^^.

Btw, I never said anything about Knights being the best aoers =s, I said that they are ONE of the best =s, but sorry if it was misunderstood.

o____o Not true, elements do nothing for a knight's skill damage and elementing suits past +3 isn't recommended for any AoEr.

And great guide Dr0! +rep for you

Very nice guide! One thing I'll recommend is that you put the skills in a table. For example:

HTML Code:
[table=head]Skill|Requirement|Master Level
Charge|Sword Mastery Lv3, Chr-Lv 60|10
Pain Dealer|Axe Mastery Lv3, Chr-Lv 60|10
Guard|Chr-Lv 62|10
Earth Divider|Charge Lv4, Chr-Lv 65|10
Power Stump|Pain Dealer Lv4, Chr-Lv 65|10
Rage Guard|Lv 5,Chr-Lv 65|10
Pain Reflection|Rage Lv 4, Chr-Lv 70|10
Power Swing|Pain Reflection Lv7, Chr-Lv 75|10[/table]
would give:
SkillRequirementMaster Level
ChargeSword Mastery Lv3, Chr-Lv 6010
Pain DealerAxe Mastery Lv3, Chr-Lv 6010
GuardChr-Lv 6210
Earth DividerCharge Lv4, Chr-Lv 6510
Power StumpPain Dealer Lv4, Chr-Lv 6510
Rage GuardLv 5,Chr-Lv 6510
Pain ReflectionRage Lv 4, Chr-Lv 7010
Power SwingPain Reflection Lv7, Chr-Lv 7510

2 things which I'm not completely sure about, but..;
- I think the Lv68 Knight suit no longer exists
- What about Swordcross, or whatever it's spelled?

Other than that, good guide, although the layout is kind of messy sometimes.
