Your thoughts on a FULL DEX Ranger

As you can see from my Sig, i got an RM (all buffs maxed).

I can dual-client/dual window my RM with my other characters.

My question now is...at level 75-up, and if i dual-client/dual window with my RM...

...can I do AOE (effectively/efficiently) with a Full Dex Ranger?

For the equips, i have the ff:
-- 2pcs Plugs+4
-- 2pcs Arek+6
-- 2pcs Mighteers+1
-- im planning to get speedos

At level 75, im planning on getting the Oska Set to +6, and get 3 suits: 1-normal, 1-fire elemented and the last water-elemented, and get all 3 suits pierced with +16%...either attack or HP.

I hope to get your thoughts on this one guys.....thanks ahead.

yes. it works. you have to be careful about how many mobs you aoe at once, since you might survive a huge mob for hours and then die to it twice suddenly. but it works. for me perfectly since lvl 75 when i restatted to full dex.

arek+6, oska+6+16% attack set, speedos, hbow is all you need. i wouldnt use elemented suit anymore. it would be better if you got the set to +8 instead.

and of course, RM set on afk heal would be enough. just keep your hp always at max, which should be easy if you use star candies or even icecream cakes once in a while.

just put everything into block rate and you will be fine

lol.. might be good..but full dex? there should be at least a little sta.. u dont crit as a ranger so no knockbacks.. and aoe.. mobs...critss...waaa

meh, only adding a little sta wouldnt doo much anyway, if your that worried about it you can test yourself by getting stam rings and gore necklace 2 replace arek and MP necklace and c how it works, if the added stam doesnt help that much shoot for full dex and gather a reasonable amount

rangers aren't made to crit, they aoe...they use skills.....

Only time theyll crit is when gathering mobs.


You get dex for block and of course, attack rating.



But, I have no idea if full dex is good, my friend is going full dex, so I can guess it must be pretty good, to have to buy a restate for it xD.

But I think 75 is too early for full dex, but I don't know much about rangers :\

full dex... are a 1v1 or mobber... i think 1v1... cause you cant go Mob on a FULL FREAKING DEX RANGER.. HAHAHA ... kk ...thats enough for me XD

A full dex Ranger would have enough block/evade to AoE efficiently at lvl 75, with the aid of an RM of course.

75+ an Full dex Ranger will prosper.

But, at new mobs, 15 sta wouldn't be enough. Ask lerk/guor about the pros/cons while ask Tor how much would crit hurts

but i do believe that a full dex build (level 75+) *will* and *can* withstand the hits from monsters long enough to cast skills and do AoE. This is what i have observed with my full dex level 79 jester....my jester can pass thru the blue roaches aggros without needing to use dark illusion to get to the pinkies area. my jester has a DEX fully-statted +8 hyper set....and i believe my ranger can use it as well until i get the oska set at 75.

anyways, at what point should i start adding STA in preparation for the v7 mobs and at what limit/cap should my STA be?

Just wanna share my experience with my Full Dex ranger....AoEing even before 75.

As i mentioned above, i can dual window my Ranger and my RM.

Fresh from the job change, i started immediately to AoE at Cranes. Unfortunately, as i found out and experienced.......i cannot heal with my RM because i cannot quickly switch windows, as my Ranger was busy casting his AoE skills and using star candies/pills, and so my RM was only there as a buffer and set to *follow mode* as my Ranger gather mobs and AoE. And with that, i died twice in both attempts to AoE normal cranes

And so, i moved on the adjacent mobs - the Garbagepider. Again, with my RM as only a buffer and no healer/support, i attempted to gather and AoE starting from the small Garbagepider, and to my surprise, i can take the whole spawn. I tried the Capt Garbagepider, and i can still take the whole spawn. As my confidence moves up, i tried again to AoE Cranes.....but at level 60, i guess i cannot take-on even the Normal Cranes, and can only manage with only 4 or 5 Small Cranes.

I really had fun back then with my Ranger fresh from his job change. My ranger is now 65 and still full dex

as full dex expect a lot of difficulties with aoeing with heals. as guorb said it works well for him and me because we have rms on afk heal so we can take more (although i haven't lvled my ranger in months because i've fallen in love with my yoyo jester). since i guess you don't have a second computer to use (since you're dual clienting apparently) i would suggest at later levels finding an fs with at least mastered heal to spam heal on you while you aoe even if you still need yours to buff

I think that sounds great, Full dex rangers does work, plus good equps and an RM? There will be no problems! .D
