Default Virus Warning at Startup - 07-21-2010, 04:08 AM
Hi,
Yesterday Flyff worked just fine, but today I try to start it and during the nProtect stage my AntiVirus pops up and says the file npsc.des is the trojan TR/Spy.Gen.

I tried every option my AV gives me. When I delete the file, Flyff shuts down. Restarting only has it redownload the same file and the same message pops up. I even tried the "ignore"-button (don't hit me...), but all it does is continue for a second then pop up the same message for the same file again.

Any ideas?

Mine started doing this too! I'm not 100% sure why, but I'm pretty sure I must've picked up some kind of virus, and for some reason, Flyff is being affected. When I click "ignore", Flyff decides to work, and it continues to work fine, until I want to reopen it, and then it warns me about a virus.

I have Avira Antivirus, and so far, it's been working fine for me. If you find a solution, I'd be interested to find out about this myself.

it's a false positive. it's not the first time an antivirus has found gg files as a virus. you should be able to set the folder as an exclusion/exception in your antivirus' settings. if you're still worried you could always uninstall flyff and delete everything associated with it then download a new client and reinstall but chances are it'll just see it as a virus again.
