Mothership Zeta takes Fallout 3 in a new direction, up! Literally when this quest starts, you go up. But that is pretty much has exciting as it gets. The story is pretty much straight forward. Abducted, wake up, and fight your way through to try to find a way out.
The game does add a few new weapons and enemies, and the awesome Alien Epoxy. The thing is, the enemies are boring. There's 4 new enemies, and some variations in them. There's your regular Alien, who is in a grey suit, but is changed into a red suit and the word "Worker" is slapped on behind alien, and the exact same thing is done but instead of Worker, it's Captain. Then there is the alien, with a globe on it's head. You'll grow tired of these two, because there are a few hundred of them, yes all the same.
And I don't get why you lose karma for killing the Alien Workers, they abducted me, not the other way around.
But anyway, then there is the Drone, a floating robot which can either rush you with it's 4 arms, or use the annoying as fuck Drone Cannon, which launches you about 15 fight in any direction and blinds you for 3 or 4 seconds, if you get into a fight where 3 or more Drones are using Drone Cannons on you, you HAVE to use VATS, or else you won't do diddly squat.
But that's not all! Then there is the Abomination. A human like alien you barely see but more then 4-5 times, and possibly in groups. It would have been nice to have some more back story on them, they were actually quite interesting, seeing as they had both alien and Human items on it.
Then there's the Weapons, which suck. If you have the Alien Blaster from the main game, you've pretty have the weapon that can hand the Aliens collective asses to themselves, because on the mothership,. NO OF THEM have an Alien Blaster. They have an Alien equivalent of a Pistol and hunting Rifle. Which both suck compared to the Blaster, not even coming up to half of it's damage. Oh, and then there is the Drone Cannon which is basically a ball of electricity coming out of the tip that doesn't want to do shit for you.
Oh and then there is the story, which is boring. There isn't much back story, the alien logs were alot more interesting then the main story, and the end is pretty nifty.
But rather then spoil it, I'll end it there.
DLC/Arcade reviews are out of 5 for me, and full games are 10, so sorry if the score out of 5 doesn't convey it for you.
Score: 2.5/5
-Good: New Area, Achievements, Stuff I don't want to spoil after the end.
-Bad: Story sucks, weapons suck, enemies suck with no back story at all, aliens don't even have a motive, Drones are annoying.
