I'm curious who is still spending the same and who is cutting back. I think most people should be cutting back right? Gala is probably getting hurt bad if people are cutting back...maybe they even fire a few gms...

Spending in general or in the game?

Tbh irl over here you don't notice any crisis. My insurances are still the same price, my groceries, rent, electronics etc. Maybe if I were interested in buying a house I'd notice.

i spend less but it has nothing to do with the economy. I dont think they are firing any gms either. But i dont imagine they will be giving any pay raises, which is probably why gms are leaving.... as usual.

Holland is very self sufficient, the country has thousands of farms growing everything. Theres an expectancy of prices being raised by 10%-30% after 2010 potential because of biofuel harvesting. But that would only apply to products with vegetables/potatoes.

So far I havent really noticed anything, Im consuming the same amount of food/drinks as always and not spending more than usual.

I know supermarkets are decreasing prices since customers are holding back on their spendings because the government is spreading (most likely unneeded) fear among us. However drinks/foodz in clubs and bars have unfortunately increased in price.

Well im still to young for it to really affect me, aside from my college acount :P. But I think that I have a pretty good understanding of how the economy works. But what I dont get is that we are in a recesion, that means we shouldnt raise prices. And if owned like a gas station or a grocery store I would lower my prices because that way I would get more buisness becasue I have lower prices than my compettitiors. Doesnt that make more sense? Lower prices for more buisness rather than raise them and lose all your customers.

Lul, a lot of our groceries are imported. At least, at the supermarket I do my shoppings; Germany, France, Chile, Italy, lots of dairy products (desserts and drinks) from Belgium, vegetables like cauliflower and spinach from Spain. Have a look in your fridge if you like.
Not saying we're totally dependent on those countries, most of the packaging and labeling happens here anyway.

A lot of companies try to compensate their lack of customers (because we're saving our money) by increasing their prices, thus having the same amount of profit. Nevertheless they seem to forget as a result of their price increases, they'll actually lose more customers.

But the problem is your supplies to run your store cost more because of gas/production prices going up, so you either charge more to break even, or take the risk of lowering your prices and not making enough to keep your store open.

Gala has to take one for the team and take a net loss =D Lower them spro prices. It's a virtual item, there is no supply rules. Deflate them prices, stabilize the flyff economy.

Flyff economy is like the housing market. Over priced. They were never meant to be that high.

Both and you and MeTree have a good point but persoanlly, thats a risk I would definalty take.

And what does everybody think of the Japan missle crisis thing? I think its funny how they can only fire a missle out 60miles to sea, and they seem to forget we have missles. Idk I just have alot to say when it comes to war and politics. O:
