I keep spending my penya on stupid crap and I am having trouble sticking to my long-term goals. What kind of techniques do you use to control your spending habits and stick to a budget?

Put all your money in your bank, write your bank password to some paper, bury it somewhere, then forget your password by making someone hypnotize you.

I turn my money into perins and hide them from myself on random characters.

I had to do this when I just began saving up for a Nox set 'cause I'd keep spending my money on random crap.

The main reason I get poor is because I try to look "cool" and try to be "uber"

Most the time I regret buying those cs sets. Most of the time I buy stuff on impulse without shopping around first. I see something and immediately I want it. I blown billions like that.

Don't try to be cool or uber. Good way to save money.

It's the only way to be sure. Then, if you need to buy something, just sell some of the junk you collected.

Learn self-control, lol. The only impulse buys I make are things that I'm going to re-sell; I plan everything else so I have enough money for it.
I'm still poor as hell most of the time, though.

I don't. I invest all my assets into more lucrative things so I can afford to splurge like I do.

Best way to do it, imo, is to set some rules for yourself, such as:
  • make a list of what you need;
  • make a priority list out of that;
  • decide on how much you'll be spending on each before moving on to the next item.
I have 2 sets to awaken and upgrade, jewelry to upgrade, a weapon to upgrade, pierce, awaken and make cards for. So, it's easier for me to just say: let's try upgrading this for now, till it reaches this level *and stick to only that*

My suggestion is to be charitable, the less money you have and have given away, the less you worry.
