OK so there have been a lot of new threads started asking how to get link in siege so Tor suggested I post a guide for FW'ers to refer to. Any questions regarding the subject can also be discussed here.

lol i sorta get it now, if your the 1st on the guild line up.. you basically wont loose the party (the one w/ the party skill) but the special party (where your guild line up is) is still intact right?

and basically everyone on the line up can use link on siege, but the dissadvantage they get is that when they die, they will be kicked out of their party (the one with the party skill) right? but they are still on the special 10 man party inside arena right?

Well no, it works like this. The siege party is created by adding everyone to the party that player #1 is in. If he isn't in a party, then the 10 man siege party is created, players are forced into that after they die if they're not.

If #1 IS in a party it merges his party and the 10 man one together. But if you die you're still forced into the party. Its why only #1 can link for every life and everyone else must leave the party and redo the whole process. There are ways to get the super link without being #1 but you have to figure that out yourself, hopefilly Lick won't write a guide for that one as well

hmm so does that mean that the #2~10 of the line up gets kicked out of the party when they die? so in the end itll still be hard to maintain the full 18 man party u can possibly have..

and regarding the link if your not #1.. basically youll just have to do the steps on this guide and ofc have your own party (diff from the #1s party) and youll also do the full 18man party right? but if you die youll get kicked out of the party cuz you arent #1.. if yes, then is it possible to get reinvited to the party you got kicked to?

Nobody gets kicked from any parties really. What happens is you're FORCED into the siege party when you die. If someone is doing 8 man link when you die you'll be forced into the siege party, you can leave it and get re-invited to your own party if you wanted but would have to leave the siege arena to do so.

Only one person can have 16 man link in the guild at any one time. There is only 1 super party and only 1 possible lead for that.

hmm yeah i think i get it now, when your not the #1 on the line up and you were on a diff party (w/ ofc you as leader for link) and you die.. you will be kicked out of the link party and will be put to the siege party of 10..

im just wondering how can u leave the siege party (since u cant press "P" during siege time) and hows it possible to leave the siege arena and comeback again? and on that note.. when u leave the arena to be reinvited.. do u have to do the same steps again?

Pretty much yes. I know you crash when you press P, but if you already have the party open you won't crash because the window is already open, just do not log out or close it and re-open, because that would be a good way to crash. To leave the siege arena just run around the side of it, ever noticed the blue portals near the tree stumps? Those will take you outside.

Once outside you do have to do the steps again yes, but its not hard, just get somebody to invite you to the party, keep the invite on the screen, enter siege, accept and have them pass you lead again. Once you know what you're doing that can take just a few seconds, but remember if you're outside of siege arena when it is your turn to go into siege it will just skip you and you will lose a life, so it is very risky.

I like it how he makes a tutorial about it 1-2 months before it supposedly changes.

yeah so basically, if your not #1 and pretty much being killed abit often than not.. its best to always leave the Party window open when you enter the siege?

Yup, if you close it then there will be no way to leave the party until siege is over, unless the leader kicks you, but im sure they have better things to do.

actually i'm the one that told almost everyone. There was no one doing this before me. And i posted this same crap on the officials in the thread when ppl were debating weather or not it was a bug.

If i have any regrets on flyff, it would be telling anyone about this.
