There are some good bands with well written lyrics that actually know what an instrument looks like. You just have to look around for them.

Tori Amos-Lovely singer and piano player.
Nightwish-Heavy Opera type rock. They use lots of different instruments in their music.
From violins, pianos, keyboards, flutes, guitars, drums. Tarjun(can't spell her name) the lead singer, well was lead singer. She sung opera type style, she had a very beautiful voice.

There's many more out there. I don't like rap at all or those bands that think screaming is singing.
