The rangers actually have fairly low damage--what makes them powerful AoErs is the "collateral" damage. You have up to four AoEs going off at once, and it ends up adding to a lot.
I have a Lv 73 ranger with 45 stamina; I'll take pictures of her AoE damage later today. I also have a friend with (I think) a Lv 66 ranger. I'll nag him to get a few pictures too.
