Ok, let me clear up some things that have been said in this thread. Most of it isn't wrong per se, but it is worded bad and isn't giving blades enough credit.

Blades are possibly one of the best aoers in the game. Rangers are on top. They can tank a lot due to their blocking. Although knights mitigate damage with HP and defense, Rangers can block out rage better. It's also cheaper to mitigate damage by block. DEX without any Block/DEX related items is almost enough to be a decent tanker after 75 (But of course okas and some dex rings or speedos, etc. helps). A full STA knight will tank fine without STA/HP/DEF items as well, but not as well as a DEX damage - mitigater. Rangers are also cheaper except for some of their bows. Rangers also collect the fastest of all jobs due to fast walker, fast shot, and ranged bows. This really speeds up the process of aoeing.

So, Ranger is on top. I believe that blade is next. Now this will probably take some explaining, because this is a close race.

Elementors could very well be 2nd. But it depends. Hit and run elementors are very time-efficient considering EXP/HR, but they take immense amounts of skills, a good computer/lag free internet, and a good chunk of penya. And even then, they aren't THAT great. Sure they are for the first 10 or so levels, but then it slows. But I'm giving INT aoe eles their share of fame.

STA eles next. These aren't as good because they must have good items to aoe as well as other STA damage mitigators (Knights). They do low damage too. Can't have TOO much dmmt stuff since they need their defense and such. Although definitely a myuran etc. can be used, they will still cast very slow. And the damage won't even be that great due to the lack of int. still high, but not high enough.

So that pushes eles out. So the only other class that could possibly be second is knight, but I think blade is better at it.

Blades have an extremely high damaging AOE. Two weapons gives them oppurtunities to get very good weapons. The skill itself also is very powerful, especially since it uses DEX. Blades have a very high blockrate. Only slightly lower than rangers due to the lack of PB. The only downside to a Blade is collecting speed. But knights suffer in this aspect too. A blade can seriously mow down mobs. If you have seen the blade aoe it is extremely powerful on full dex. Blades are also cheap. They do well even without good items. They just do VERY well with good items. All you need is a set of blue gear and you're set. Probably some +ed stuff at higher levels, but nothing too fancy.

Although BPs aren't shabby either (If you can get to lv 70...) Fast cast aoe, high defense/HP, stonehand, prevention, moderately high damage.. Can give themselves quickstep max and rely on the FS to give them the more 'conventionally' maxed buffs if you even wanted too. So gathering isn't so slow.

Of all the aoers, I'd say both blade and bp are severely underestimated.

I have both an aoe blade and knight, and the blade is much better at it. I wish this wasn't so though. Knight sure is good suited for it, if only they had even more hp and defense (I mean seriously... Most classes can tank as well if not better as a knight. The HP/DEF on a knight should simply be INSANE to make up for a lack of any real special things like block, high damage, etc.) and attack power.

Knight, ele, etc. is still a beast at it though. Almost every class can aoe good if you know what you're doing. But blades are the simplest and easiest to do it with.
