There is no such thing as the better class. Every one has it's pros and cons. However, in a fight, blades would definitely win against AoE knights.
I am a knight myself, but even I admit defeat. xD Blades have a higher block rate which is a lot better than high defense and huge amounts of stamina.
But, I still love being a knight.
