Once I go AoERM, I would end up splitting it 50/50 (or less, depending on their effort) with my RM if I have one, or 70/30 (in my favor, less if they're just AFK) with my leech if I didn't find an RM.
That said, I've been on the other side of this (i.e. being the RM of someone who found a Lightning Card) three times, and I've been told to essentialy fuck off and that I wasn't getting a damn thing all three times, so I'm rather bitter about it, and anyone who says they wouldn't give the RM anything doesn't deserve to level with an RM ever again.

You should HC and link without them asking, IMO!

I find partners get really, really surprised (and happy) when they say "oh just keep me healed" and you suddenly start busting out concise SF/GTs, constant HCs/linking, and still maintain good healing.

There is nothing at all wrong with combat-buffing assuming you do it intelligently (i.e. keep two Heals/Heal Rains in the Action Slot and hit that if the partner's HP dips below 70% while buffing). That said, most RMs I've seen out in Azria can't do it to save their lives, but combat-buffing can be done well and is done well by good RMs. :P
