these "zombies" are not even close to a safety concern. Its not like they suddenly crave flesh and can spread their condition. They are simply brain-dead. I see no reason to kill them off unless it is their wish. I mean, when you have the choice between certain death or possible life (with a chance of becomming brain-dead) why not give the later a shot?
