To be honest I can't see why some schools have rules about things like hugs. In my world it's a normal, friendly way to say hello/goodbye/whatever. Nothing to get offended about. Of course the school is a place where you're to learn things, but just because of that it doesn't have to be numb place.
A little kiss on the lips can't I neither see the problem with. When it goes over the french kissing I can understand why some people may be bothered about it. It's a more intimate thing I think.
