Meh, I never really see why they're ever necessary. You shouldn't strut love about randomly for everyone to see, that's like turning it into an exhibition in my eyes. I might stroke my gf's hair or something like that but kissing in the middle of the hallway for everyone to see just doesn't make sense to me.
